My Journey As A Writer

in Web Novels2 days ago

Hola! Hope y'all are doing well. So, in my last post, well, my first post (given that it was my intro), I gave y'all a glimpse into the mundane aspects of my life. My interest in Crypto and Forex, my love for dogs, and my love for my Lord in Heaven, and the fact that I am a writer - not professionally, but just for the fun of it.

To be honest, I don't even know how I started writing; wait, scratch that, I do actually LOL. It's a funny start because I have never really liked writing. Yeah, I had incomplete notes in my secondary school, not until I got to my senior class, I started completing my notes. That's by the way, though. The first book I wrote was about my ideas on love - what exactly is love, how you know you have fallen in love, how to not fall in love, how to fall out of love, and the pain you feel when the one you love doesn't feel the same way.

You know, just a bunch of boring things LOL. Just so you know, I was 13 when I wrote this book; yeah, I was young, dumb, and had a lot of time on my hands. Imagine reading a book about love from a 13-year-old; OMG, let me cover my face. What actually inspired the book was that, at that time, I had a crush on a girl in my class. She had eyes for another guy, though - typical (I'm making a sarcastic face right now). The person she had eyes for was actually a friend, a really good friend, like a brother if I might add.

Long story short, I helped him get the girl - yeah, the same girl. Fun fact: that experience inspired two books - the book I mentioned and a novel I wrote about sacrificing love; ironic, right? I named the one about love "My Love Article," and then I named the novel "Sacrifice." PS: If y'all want to know what actually happened with me and the girl I had a crush on, you can ask in the comments, and I'll see to it.

Since then, I have been writing - novels, articles, motivational books (I think I should go read them; I need it right now LOL), Christian books - well, one book, actually (I've only made one Christian book) - and a few others. Thanks to my wide imagination, writing some of these books was somewhat easy, while others required me to do some research. I stopped writing for a while due to a lack of motivation, I guess (yeah, I definitely need to read those motivational books), but I recently got paid for a book I wrote - a motivational/Christian book.

It wasn't much, but it was enough to motivate me a little; people actually like it, so I'm going to get back to writing. And I think Hive is a good place to kick-start my journey again, no matter how small the foot is - it would always leave a footprint. My journey as a writer has had its ups and downs. I have had some people hate on my books; I have invested in some that didn't bring back any returns. I have had books that I failed to complete, then discarded them. Currently, I have a faulty device, and writing without it is a lot stressful - one of the reasons I stopped. However, the support I get from my friends is what I hold onto, and it's what still inspires me to write. I am going to get back to writing.

Adios Colmena Familia!
