Technology is the reality of life and what makes life so easy and simple. Life is faster today just because of technological advancement. The increase in farm yield today is a result of technology. It has become the only thing that drives the world into good shape.

My parents were farmers, and even up to this moment, my mother-in-law still sends in cassava flakes (gari) to us. She does not joke with her farm and can never take for granted the planting of some special food items.
Before, there was a method used to plant cassava stems and also to harvest cassava, but in this recent time, technology has made everything so possible and simple. She always used Cutlass to clear her farmland, but after some time, some sets of people (scientists) took pains to go through some findings. These findings made it possible to spray farmlands with chemicals. These chemicals are capable of burning weeds off the farmland. So, instead of using Cutlass to stress oneself, it is now easy to spray farmlands with chemicals.
Technology has been of great help to the realm of farming, taking farming into the realm of improvement. Our food, instead of getting sour, technology has made it so simple to preserve it. Although, to so many people, it's not the best to preserve your food using some chemicals.
Farming is now mechanized, leaving the old method behind. This is why some rich men now ventured into farming. They don't know how to clear, nor do they know how to even plant seedlings. Technology has made all things possible for mankind. The only fact behind it is the cost of purchasing the farm tools. In another way, most farmers use the knowledge of others by paying some able men to do the farm job for them.
A man who I do call father happened to venture into cucumber farming. He used machines to clear the piece of farmland, after which he hired some able men to plant the cucumbers. After planting, he hired some men to stay on the farm and take care of it until they matured. After a few months of maturity, the men started stealing his produce. When it was time to sell, he discovered that his cucumbers had been stolen. He sold all of them but left without the normal gain. Likewise, he later made up his mind to always stay on the farm instead of renting some people to stay as guards.
The costs of getting farm tools would be overlooked if one should take the gain that surrounds farming. Most people have seen farming as a waste and made only for dirty and uneducated people. Nowadays, the mechanized system has stolen the hearts of rich men to join farming.
In most cases, when one applies technology to source food, it comes out to be a different taste than before. The taste will not be the usual taste. This is why most people would rather not scientifically preserve their food and instead would want to use natural methods.
