Money is hard to fetch but easy to spend
The celebration period is always something that can drain off your pocket if care is not taken. Maintaining standards is something we should always start with when talking of spending during this season. I have seen so many people squandering their money all in the name of celebrating this season but would begin just like a new life filled up with suffering in the upcoming year. This is what we should avoid at all times, and I do look for means to avoid spending excessively.
It happened to me some time ago when my husband was paid his salary. I discovered that my husband's bank account was showing a limited balance. He spent a lot buying things for the house and what we use for the Christmas celebration. He spent all his money before the end of the year, which made us have a difficult beginning during January.
We struggled to feed and struggle to pass through the first month. We were balanced when he was paid for his January salary. That was before now. Sometimes something tough must happen to a man just for him to be wise in the days ahead.
What is happening to me now is not the same as what has happened to me before. So, I am wise enough to take care of the unforeseen circumstances. Just last year, I had the wisdom on how to leave a little for the upcoming year just to eradicate the unforeseen circumstances. This year, my husband has to send me some money just to cater for the festive period. What I had to do was remove some money and hide it just for rainy days. I was still remembering what has happened to us during that year that we had to suffer greatly. We were feeding just like babies.
My husband presumed that we have to keep some money just for January’s sake. I told him no problem, but then I saved out of the one he gave to me for food. I knew that the one he gave to me would not be enough, so keeping what he gave me for food for rainy days was my priority.
Just today, he came to tell me that what he has in his account is not going to be enough for January's first food. We have made it a point of duty to always cook during January first just to entertain our guests and loved ones. This time, I was a little not sure if we were going to cook, but God so kind, I saved from the money he had given to me for food. I decided to tell him we should make use of the money he had given me to cater the month of January for the 1st of January food.
Well, it's the best to remain even after spending enough for this festive period. The month of January is always very long when compared to other months. So, being extra careful is important.
I totally agree with you that January is the longest months of all literally I say we have 90days in January. 🤣
