Has AI Taken Over? No.

Hello everyone and good evening. How are you all? I've been gone for a few days. Gone as in completely offline. And that was because I had exams for which I tried to study a lot but it still didn't work and I didn't get desired grades. So yeah it's a bit depressing. Anyway, I can't do anything about it now that it's in the past. All I can do is work a little more. But at the same time I've been trying that for the past 2 years and improvements have been there, but I think I could ask for a little more. Okay, All that aside, I was watching the news, again.

And I found this interesting dynamic. With the current trend of AI into everything, very few people in the top tier companies ask for actual engineers. Also, meta wanted to use more AI to replace more workers. And that is usual. As recently as a few days ago, meta laid off 5% of the bottom performing employees and are planning to replace them, not with new ones, but with artificial intelligence. At the same time, we see Elon Musk tweeting about asking for engineers who can work on the everything app. And what he wrote in the job requirement is the thing that amazed me the most. He said that he doesn't care what school the person studied, or whether he even studied in a school in the first place, he only cares about the code. And then he just simply asks for the code. In a place where you literally mainly need coding skills to do well, it really makes little difference whether you have conventional education or not. Yes, college education does give you an understanding of a lot of things, but your workplace usually tends to be more focused in one particular area. And as long as you're expiring that, you probably won't face any problems in your workplace. But that's just me speaking. Obviously you should get an education if you can because it never gets wasted and it never depreciates your value or its value.

I just wanted to say that in a world where people are thinking that AI will take all their jobs, no, It's not happening at least right now. Even big companies still need proper engineers who can actually write the code. Yes, AI is helpful, and it probably does a certain job better if it is properly instructed. But the human touch will always be relevant. Human decision making can never be replicated. So yeah, AI May take your jobs, but at the same time it will create different jobs because as much as intelligent an AI is, It's still just a creation and it will always be a side character.
