Hello everyone. I hope all you are doing well. As you all know, it is also given in my profile that I follow international politics quite a lot. And I try to stay up to date to international conflicts and geopolitics all over the world. Those of you who share my interest will know that Syria has been facing upheaval for the last 2 weeks. Also, recently, the current Syrian regime has been ousted out of the country or so. The international media would want to believe. Now yes, this is a win for democracy. Because this regime has been ruling in autocratic rule for the past 50 years. But my question is, what has changed? Are the lives of the people of Syria going to get any better? Or is it going to be the same as usual? Just with a different flavor.
Now we all know that there are two rebel militias who were instrumental in the uprising against the fascist regime of Syria. And on behalf of the regime, there was Iran and Russian intervention. While the USA collaborated with Israel to help the rebels. Everyone had their own reasons here. Russia was sidetracked with the Ukraine war and they simply couldn't do enough to help their old ally in Syria. And the Iranian detection couldn't stand the rebels either. All Russia did was scramble some Jets. USA also did the same. And now the regime is gone. Now why is this a problem? Because for the Muslims living in Syria, now there are many adversaries. There is a disjointed rebel group in the loose, it is also believed that an element of the Islamic state is also in the play. The same is also believed for Al-Qaeda. While of course this is good news for Israel as they have severed the land connection between Hezbollah and Iran. While nullifying any kind of retaliation from Syria towards them. But at the same time they have entered the perimeter too.
Yes, the people of Syria are free from the fascist. And I am happy for them because I have seen multiple reports of this regime torturing the Sunni Muslims of Syria for the past 50 years. But at the same time I fear that it will all be more of the same. And this region has gained more instability than ever.
