My Unforgettable Experience With Fraudsters

in Hive Learnerslast year

We live in a world where working for money has turned into a taboo for some guys because they believe the work wouldn't give them the kind of lifestyle they want.
Some ladies on the other hand believe that once their boyfriend is into fraud they are at the top of the world.

Meanwhile, they are damaging a lot of people to live that flamboyant life they want, because some people died or became poor after being duped by the scammers.

I had dealt with scammers a lot, and whenever something similar arose again, I would pop their bubbles.

A long time ago, when debit cards were first introduced by the financial sectors, everyone wanted it all cost. The scammers took advantage of how desperate people were to get the card. The card scam was trending to the extent that you can't tell who is next to fall victim, but I didn't fall for it not because I was perfect but because I was extremely careful when I got my card and I never disclosed anything about my bank with anyone.

The trick was that they would call you that you are having issues with your bank card and you should please call your Debit card pin and CVV. People wouldn't think twice before giving out their details until different banks noticed their customers were being scammed, and they started sending texts to everyone never to disclose their details. That was how most of the scammers stopped calling people for their details.

I have seen different cases like that so I was ready for them whenever they called, I would just answer them with one statement, which of the banks are you talking about because I have several banks and I am sure they will guess wrong, while some will end the call, because immediately they noticed you know what is going on they would run away.

My recent encounter with a fraudster wasn't long. It was a few months ago. I was at home and someone just called me from a WhatsApp group. He said that I belonged to the group. Meanwhile, I was busy sleeping so I told him I would chat with him later.

Wasn't I supposed to be the one to message him? But instead, this same guy keeps disturbing me. I got angry and then picked up his call then asked why he was disturbing me. He told me he sent me one code, and all I needed was to call back the code.

I just told the guy he was a fool and he ended the call. I knew he was trying to hack my account so I just ended the call and blocked him. Later on, I discovered that the group was a WhatsApp group in my office, but we no longer use it.

The next day I heard he had hacked one of my colleagues' Whatsapp accounts. So he said there would be a group meeting where he would send the code to join the WhatsApp group, some had joined while some didn't answer him.
I called my friend whose account was hacked, and he said they told him the code was meant for a Zoom meeting, so he fell for the scam since the guy mentioned it was from the office.

The reason why I didn't fall for his trick was because I knew anything that has to do with calling code is all about scamming.
That seems to be the new trend now, I will advise people to be certain of anything before clicking on it, and if it is about calling a code. Just know that it is all about scam. We need to be careful and be smart. Scammers are everywhere.
