Buen dia, I'm Emmanuel. However, depending on which of my friends you ask, they might refer to me as Mecha, Alegson, Jiggy, or Lord Snow❄️. Nigerian by birth, my username on here is @alegson, and I owe my presence on this platform to my good friend @olujay.
I relish listening to music, watching TV shows, and debating about football⚽️. Some have also described me as brooding, but I suspect Game of Thrones fans would have already deduced that from the kit Harington reference.
Reading, cooking, sleeping, and playing chess are some of my favorite activities, I also find pleasure in incorporating Spanish and French vocabulary into my conversations, as it adds a unique and interesting flair. 😉. I'm also eager to explore writing and see if it can give me as much pleasure as reading does. Who knows, maybe this is the start of my journey to getting paid by Netflix!😉.

With this platform, I hope to create a kind of personal diary where I can articulate my thoughts and mis-thoughts. I want to share my experiences as I navigate this beautiful journey of life and capture the lessons I learn along the way.
Although I may come across as brooding, I'm actually the type of person who sees the glass as half full. It's difficult not to be optimistic when you're aware of a benevolent presence looking out for you. And, for the record, I am a Christian and couldn't be more content with my faith.
My aim is to become part of communities that share my interests, such as reading, movies, TV shows, chess, gaming, football, among others. My plan is to participate in these communities by providing my take on various topics, perhaps by writing reviews of films or matches.
I am very friendly and get along with people well as is evident with the relationship I keep with my classmates.
I completed my studies in mechatronics engineering...well, almost. Actually, I'd prefer not to say too much about it and risk jinxing my progress (you know how it is in Nigeria, where five-year courses sometimes stretch into seven-year marathons; a town hall, different😔).
I pursued mechatronics engineering as my field of study and developed a particular fondness for PLCs as a means of automation control and so I proceeded to get certified in the operation and control of PLCs. Additionally, I have a keen interest in machine learning and AI, and as a result, I have applied for the ALX Data Science program. Moreover, I'm preparing to attain a certification in machine learning from Microsoft.
If you asked me to name my favorite movie, I wouldn't hesitate to say the Lord of the Rings trilogy. The story of Sam(we have to agree he was the MVP😎) and his companions embarking on a perilous quest to destroy the One Ring is simply epic in every sense of the word; Oh and the visuals, the stunning visuals; did I just attempt to forget the soundtrack; the lord of the rings was just epic.
When it comes to TV shows, I have to admit that I was hooked on Game of Thrones (at least until the final few seasons). The complex characters(Dany😭), the entangled plotlines, and the realism of the show all made for a gripping viewing experience.
I proudly support Liverpool and have a deep respect for any player who has ever donned the team's jersey. However, if I had to pick a favorite, it would be Gerrard. Conversely, I harbor a strong dislike for Manchester United and I must say the seven nil drubbing of yesterday is one I'd not be forgetting soon, although I must concede that some of the club's fans are respectable individuals. Despite Liverpool's recent struggles, I'm unwavering in my belief that they are the finest English club, and I'm willing to defend that claim until the end of time. On a side note, Messi is the greatest of all time.
For the past 11 years, chess has been an important part of my life, and I consider myself to be a fairly competent player. I first learned the game from a friend of mine named Precious, who, while not the most skilled teacher, instilled in me a love for the game that endures to this day. Although I've since discovered more effective ways to improve my skills, I find it hard to unlearn the old method. I enjoy playing against my friend @olujay, who is a worthy opponent, but I have managed to come out on top a few times (despite his protests of bad luck).
