Pain or progress: The agonizing decision

in Hive Learners2 months ago

There is actually no “one-size-fits-all” answer to this topic from my own perspective or point of view 🤷🏽‍♀️

In this mind of Situation, you have to think about the positive side and negative side of the said “terrible decision” one has to make for the greater good.

Also, what exactly is this terrible decision you havr to make? When we find ourselves in this kind of dilemma, I feel one should also take their principles and morality into consideration and thought 😌

I feel if that decision you want to make is one that will guilt trip and hunt you then it’s not one you should make. On the other hand there’s also the scenario of the repercussions of you not taking that decision as well, said repercussions could also torment you too.

If you are someone with a strong mind and mentality, then I believe prioritizing the well-being of the majority should come first, this “terrible decision” could also help alleviate and reduce the suffering of many.

This decision you have chosen to take could be one that maximizes happiness and increases good living and as I said earlier reduce poor living conditions 😇

Now, let’s take it, you are the exact opposite of the above and not one with such a strong mind or mentality or you don’t even have such strong mental health, if you decide to go with this decision, regardless of the outcome, your mind and your moral beliefs would not allow you to see the good in what you have done at all 😔

I feel if I where to find myself in this kind of position, I would rather;

Seek out different perspectives and opinions on the matter

Evaluate the consequences of this decision: the potential risks of taking this decision

Explore alternative solutions so I can have more than one option in that situation and the “terrible decison” would have to be my last option

Ultimately, decision-makers must balance their reasoning, their moral compass and their empathy before taking any decision
