Urban living any day any time

I will choose to live in an urban area over and over again. It is not even because I am an extrovert or an outgoing person, No, far from that. But there is this satisfaction I feel when I live in an urban area. It pleases me to have the thought of "oh if I want anything I can always get it while living in an urban area.

All the beautiful and fancy buildings in an urban area fascinates me. I feel an assurance of life is happening right here in the city and it calms me whenever.

Another thing again is that,in my country, villages or let me say rural areas kinda lack a lot in social amenities. A larger percentage of rural communities in my country do not have electricity, good water, good roads, healthcare system( they all depend on herbs for their ailment treatment), no amusement parks. What then is there, just food. It will be too boring for my liking.

Let us just imagine this scenario. My birthday is coming soon, I would want cake, glazed dough nuts and wines to celebrate with. Also I might decide to take my friend out or they might offer to take me out. If I am in the city, definitely all the above mentioned stuffs will be possible. The other option of being in the village will not fulfill all those above mentioned things.

Well, there will definitely be a way they celebrate birthdays in the rural areas but it is not going to be as fun as it would be for the city, and I am sure it will be fun for them too.

I can only go to the village just to have another feel of recreation.

Another thing I love about urban living is that you get to meet different people of different background and culture. You get to learn if not alot but at least little about the way of life of different people. This will enrich ones knowledge of life.

The cost of living in the village can be relatively low, which I know is a good thing. I can attest to this because where I did my National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) was not really somewhere I can call a city. It is closer to being called a village to a city.

Luckily for me, there was electricity, even though it is always low voltage but it can charge my phone. So far my phone can be charged, I can definitely survive. Water and healthcare system was on the average but it is better than none.

Anytime I go to the market to buy food stuffs, I can conveniently buy enough food with #6,000, that is roughly $9 and it will last me a month. Well, I do not eat that much.

I was chanced to spend some weeks at the state capital and decided to go shopping for food at their market. Some items were almost twice the price I do get them for in my place. Although there were varieties. Things that were not available in my area, were in abundance there.

Regardless of the cheap food, I still love to stay or live in the city with its pros and cons. Both has their pros and cons.

Thank you for reading

I feel you about choosing the urban areas. It’s not even about liking to go out but it’s certainly a different feel😂.

Living in a rural area will be some way for me and just like you living there should be a form of recreation.
