Are Vegans at the Verge of Nutrients Deficiencies?

in Hive Learners3 months ago

Hello Hive Learners Community! Welcome to my blog. Man is a social animal. Usually animals are classified in Herbivores, Carnivores and Omnivores based on the method of getting food. As we can eat both plants and animals hence we are included in Omnivores. But there are some exceptions with some people. Some people can eat meat but hate to take vegetables while some people can take vegetables only and have meat allergy. It can be due to the missing number of Hormones, Culture, Religion, and animal rights that keep them away from the most common category of Omnivores. If we observe our nutritional profile then we will be aware that we need all sorts of basic nutrients Carbohydrates, Proteins, and Lipids that can be obtained when we are taking only vegetables or meat. Hence to keep ourselves healthy and energetic, we should eat both things.

Importance of Balanced Diet

Nowadays our Nutrition Consultants ask us to take balanced diet either we don't like vegetables or we don't like meat. A balanced diet has the nutrients according to the daily requirement of a man. If we don't like meat then there are meat replacer available in the market. Similarly if we don't like to eat vegetables then we have some additives that will fulfil the nutritional requirements of vegetables. They both are fruits of modern technology. We should eat and take a balanced diet that is most important.

Debate able Vegans

Vegans don't like to take anything obtained from animals either they are meat, Milk and eggs or they are cheese and butter due to. They only like to take Vegetables hence we named them Strict Vegetarian. To be a vegetarian is not bad but there are some disadvantages that can affect our body.

  • We can't get Vitamin B-12 from Vegetables
  • Omega-3- Fatty Acids can't be probed by vegetables
  • Iron and Iodine although can be achieved by plants but animals are their big source

If we didn't want a life with nutritional deficiencies then we need to take animal products. If we are unable to intake anything from animals then we should use at least B-12 replacers that are available in the market.

My Perspective About Diet

Although I like meat but I can't depend completely on it hence I have schedule for taking vegetables as well. Brinjal, Carrots, Potatoes and Finger-lady are my favourite vegetables. Vegetables are the big source of Antioxidants that save us from toxins. If we are taking vegetables and animal products in the balanced amount then we can enjoy happy and beautiful life. We need to maintain our health that will only be possible with strong immunity. Our Immunity is directly linked what we are taking daily. Hence, if you don't like Animal Products then I'm not here to force you for taking them. But yeah I shall emphasize you to take all those nutrients that we obtain from animals from other artificial sources. We should not make any compromise on our nutritional need that matters a lot. There are many cheap replacers available for both animal products and vegetables. I hope, you have enjoyed my today post. Thanks!

Hi,
All nutrients needed for successful human life can be obtained via a vegan diet, which is why all international dietetics associations support a vegan diet for people of all ages.
B12 is a bacteria that exists in soil, it is not inherent to animals, the animals get it from the soil. Nowadays farmers fill animals with antibiotics that kill a lot of the B12, so don't assume that meat eaters get enough B12 - often they do not. It is possible to access B12 via some plants and also through living as nature intended.

Omega 3 can be obtained from various vegan sources.

Iodine can also be obtained from various sources - about 3 medium potatoes should contain enough iodine for an adult Male.

Iron can also be obtained from vegan sources without problem.

Please remember that the animals being eaten got all of their nutrients from plants, so it makes little sense to think that humans cannot do the same. All protein on this planet begins in the Nitrogen chains in plants.

If we talk about B-12 vitamins then hopefully it is obtained by animals by products. I totally agreed about your perspective that most of the nutrients nowadays can be obtained by Vegans but still we need animal meat for a balanced diet. I like your explanation in the image hence I mentioned that vegetables help us to save ourselves from toxins because they have antioxidants. Thank you for the brief comment and welcome to my blog Sir.

There is no scientific evidence that animals are needed for a balanced diet - you are welcome to provide some. There are over 1000 nutritional science published in English each year, the only group that reads them all is a vegan oriented one - it is common for non vegan scientists to lack understanding ;)
