Hello Hive Learners Community! Welcome to my blog. Tax laws are made to collect funds by a nation to run governments as well as to serve them. There was a time when rich people liked to donate and help the government in smooth running. It was more like a charity system. This charity system was replaced by the Tax system. In the tax system, everyone has to pay specific charges for everything to the government. According to laws, no one can skip these taxes. Unfortunately, the taxes from mafias are not only collected as per law. Moreover, these taxes are used as a corruption source to the governments instead of serving their contributors. I hate this tax system and want improvement.
Corrupt Tax System in Pak
From birth, I've observed a few things in the tax system that are only money hacks by governments. In our electricity bills, we have to pay TV tax whether we have it or not. Pakistani Government knew how to snatch money from its nation. Our Utility Bills, Shopping, Dining, Tourism, stay at Hotels, and even burying ceremonies in graveyards have piles of taxes by the government. Each Pakistan pays a lot of tax from his birth to his death.
Tax collection, I think, is not bad. Otherwise, the government can't run its systems. But it should consume for the welfare of the public. From the health to the Education Department and From agriculture to Industry, every department is facing challenges due to poor taxation. Instead of making proper policies, the government has started its privatization. Our taxes are not consumed in constructive projects. I have witnessed our taxes are used in the Protocol of Mafias, Money Laundering, Favoritism, and in Corruption. This is a painful condition, and we are protesting for justice.
We need to emphasize our government for the effective utilization of taxes. We should discourage corruption, and corrupt leaders should be jailed with the help of the Judiciary. There will be no concession of taxation for the mafias or elite classes. The tax system should be made transparent, corruption-free as well, and equal for everyone. The tax collecting department should share the summary of consumption of taxes. There should be little detail. Unfortunately, corrupt governments don't like collected revenue in the form of taxes on media. Similarly, they didn't share the consumption of money in any project with complete details. It is Injustice, and we need to strengthen a fair tax system.
Final Thoughts
It is the reality that no government can run on its behalf. It must need support from its nation in the form of tax. But the government should make a transparent tax system. Moreover, tax should be used for the welfare of the nation. Tax should be consumed in health, agriculture, education, as well as other sectors that are essential for the progress of a country. Every year, the Pakistani Government takes a loan from the IMF. To repay its loan, the piles of taxes are collected from the Pakistani Nation. It is the main reason we have a high inflation rate. 1st, we need to improve the tax system, and then we need to effectively utilize these taxes. In this regard, we can not only control inflation but also can give concessions to the most poor and deserving families.
