Hello friends. How are you all? I've been busy with some personal engagements, and the annual board exams are also underway, so I haven't been able to post. After a long time, I'm going to cook in the kitchen today. I'll be making Chicken Manchurian along with Egg Fried Rice. First, I'll prepare Chicken Manchurian, and then I'll make Egg Fried Rice.
Chicken Manchurian:
Ingredients:
800g boneless chicken, cut into small pieces
1 egg
2 tablespoons corn flour
1 tablespoons soya sauce
1 Teaspoon vinegar
1 tablespoon chili sauce
1 Cup tomato ketchup (Optional Chili garlic Sauce)
1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
1 onion, finely chopped
1 capsicum, diced
1 cabbage, chopped
1 carrot fine slices
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon honey
Oil for frying
Instructions:
- Marinate the chicken pieces with egg, soy sauce, chili sauce, tomato ketchup, ginger-garlic paste, salt, and pepper and corn flour for about 30 minutes.
- Heat oil in a pan and fry the marinated chicken pieces until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the pan and set aside.
- In the same pan, add a little more oil if needed and add garlic paste after that sauté the chopped onions, capsicum, cabbage and carrot until they are slightly softened.
- Add the ketchup, chili sauce, vinegar, soya sauce, salt, black pepper, sugar and honey for a fine gravy.
- Mix corn flour with a little water to make a slurry and add it to the pan along with the remaining marinade. Cook until the sauce thickens.
- Mix chicken powder with 1 cup water and add it to the pan for flavour.
Add the fried chicken pieces to the sauce and toss until they are well coated. Cook for a few more minutes.
