At a point in time in everyone's life, our souls yearned for some deep connections with the supernatural. As regards this, Music has been a tool for everything we can think of. It has been with us through thick and thin and the lyrics of some songs directly or indirectly got embedded in our subconscious and and has effect on how we live our lives and a part of who we are.
Aside entertainment, I see music as a lifestyle and Some of those songs are everlasting to us. We can listen to them all day long. The beauty of music is that there's at least one song in this whole world that will suit a present mood and see one through a phase of life.
Name it.... Is it sadness or depression, happiness, joy, failure or success, love or something to dance to and feel excited. Music has it all.
When I listen to some songs, I just wonder how the writer got to put those lyrics down and make something beautiful and eternal with it. Many at times, it seems magical.
I've tried different music genre while growing up and I enjoyed them all. If I were to write this post 10years ago, I definitely would have picked romantic songs preferably westlife songs or possibly Nigerian hip hop songs if this were to be like 8years ago.
I've evolved and things has changed. I'm a Christian by faith and I've decided to stick to songs that can make me express myself to God and also have a connection with how much he loves me. All music genres are very good in respect to phase of life, lifestyle and belief system but this is my own sincere choice.
I have options of picking songs but the three I've chosen were with me at a phase of my life and they'll most likely be ever relevant to me.
This will ever be my number 1 song and sincerely, this is the number 1 song on my favorite playlist.
The song was sang by bethel music and part of the album 'we will not be shaken'.
I'll forever be grateful to God for giving bethel an inspiration to write and sing this song.
The song is about a confidential affirmation of who we are in God and how magnificent is love is towards us.
Why do I love 'No longer slaves'
I heard the song for the first time in 2016. It was a Saturday night and the sound was from a room adjacent mine in my hostel back then in medical school. I fell in love with it immediately.
It happened that I was in a phase of life where I was doubting my identity in God based on everything I was going through in school. I was at the verge of loosing my confidence which was my main weapon. I've never felt inadequate like that and I never will again. What made me be in that state was the torment I was experiencing in a posting I was doing in school then. I felt like my brain was empty and the unit head didn't make it easy for me. I triumphed through God with the help of this song and it became my best comfort whenever I need it.
This is arguably my 2nd best song.

This song always calm me down and gives me hope. It explained timing and season in detail and used how God took his time strategically before sending Christ to save us.
why do I love 'Seasons'
I've always believed life is in stages and every necessary step and process is crucial to an expected end. Anytime I'm distracted and want to take unnecessary drastic step to hasten my success, I go back to this song to scale through that phase. That's why I can't envy anybody's success because I'm fully convinced that in due time, I'll achieve all I'm expected to as long as I'm doing what I'm supposed to do.
This song is also special to me.

The song is all about a real description of who God is and how God sees us.
why do I love 'Good good father'
I grew up with the a wrong perception of who I thought God was. I've always seen him as this aged being that must be pleased and is easily offended with lots of punishments in store for every error made. I thought he's always looking out for mistakes and wants a perfect human being.
At a time when I began to study for myself and got to have some personal experience and conviction, this song came along and it all worked out fine.
Now I know he's a good father and this gives me the confidence to walk in his righteousness and enjoy a good relationship with him
I really wish I could list more songs that I genuinely love, those on my favorite playlist and why I have a place for them in my heart but these three will always be relevant to me
