I am not married but I still do have a common idea of how to deal with small children. I don't have that much experience with that but I do think I can handle small kids not a newborn baby for sure. That is a very hard job to do, have you done that?
from my school day, I am surrounded by small kids around me most of them were my relatives. I do have many close ones too, my elder sister's children. when I was in class 10th I am kind of used to small kids from that day. Two years earlier my elder brother did get married, and now she has a beautiful little girl and she is kind of naughty too, you know how small kids are.
Even though I am not a parent right now but I do think I am taking responsibility for that. You know these days there are many things now we have to buy and do for the small kids. It is really to take care of small kids. Now doctors don't even allow many things that our grandmother and mother used to do when we were kids. But things have changed a lot since then.
There are so many products available in the market for small kids now and there are so many brands available these days. Jonsan baby used to lead brands all over India not sure about other countries for many years but now things have changed a lot. Now, the Himalayan company is in the race and both are doing great. I still do remember, how our parents used to massage her with a bottle of mustard oil only now there are so many products for everything. I still remember one product that is still available which was Mugli Ghutti 555. I did try the taste a few days ago It still feels the same.
So, I am kind of used to kids now, not sure if I will get married or not we will see about that in the future. We all have done a lot for things for that we all do feel proud there are things for which we do feel bad and sometimes we do regret that too. And I will make sure the small kids around will do that and a few things that they should not do. the list is long but still I will try my best to make list short as much I can. I do hope that will helpful for all the readers.
Things to do:
- Join Martial arts/ Taekwondo (That is surely going to help them in self-defense and will make them active and healthy too)
- Play sports (I don't want them to be a lazy fellow like me)
- Follow their passion (I will not pressure them to choose this or that, I will help them to choose their own path for their bright future)
- Travel (that will help them to become mature and will make them more extravert )
- cooking (yes this is one of the important things)
- participate in extracurricular activities (at school and outside school too)
- A habit of reading.
- learn to ride a bike and car.
- Make friends
Things not to do:
- Avoid alcohol and drugs (not going to cage them for that )
- less into computers (not like me, most of my time is gone on screens)
- Avoid being single.
- A gentle person
I think this is enough now, I don't want to make them slaves by throwing all my wishes at them I will try to make them better and try to avoid the things that I have done in my life. what do you think?

I have read all the point you mentioned here specially what to do and what not to do. But I don't know the reason behind the last two point for what not to do. (Avoid being single.
A gentle person)

I had to take care of and raise several of my cousins, and it was a job with a lot of patience. Now that they are married with children. It seems like a very distant memory.
I haven't seen them for a long time, many have left the country.
It takes a lot of love and respect for the family, to raise the children of the family. Sometimes it's hard to deal with kids, they're not bad, they're just kids.
Life is much different than we think. You don't have to prepare to be a father. When you hold a little one in your arms, everything happens naturally. You can do the things you say you won't do, and you can't do the things you say you will. Leave everything in time))
