    ex? Maybe he still knack her?

    there are many reasons that could lead to this

    could be that they fall out for a reason they could not avoid e.g genotype

    or maybe he was the one at fault for the break up, probably cheated on her

    or maybe they are stil seeing each other just not dating, that is also common.
