I think one of the worst set of people to ever place your trust in are those who would make promises to you even though they have no plans of keeping them. It’s even worse when you don’t even approach them for it, they come to you and make the promise, getting your hopes up only to disappoint you. I know that you’ve come across such people at one time or the other because I know that I have.
You could be in a bind, and everything that will be on your mind that day will be to fix it. You know that you can do it yourself, you just need time. And you’re sure that you can make the time on your own without any issues. It would be stressful, but you can do it.
Then, for some reason, these guys would turn up and promise to take care of it. They’d make you believe that they can finish it in time for you. Fooling you into a false sense of security and you probably relax because you think that your problem is done with. But in time, they’d never do it. It’ll be a series of stories and stories until they eventually break your heart! That moment when you need that stuff, you won’t be able to reach them!
This is something that we see so often, and I don’t just get it, why make promises you know that you can’t keep? Why get people’s hopes up when you’re only going to dash them on the rocks? Eventually, it begins to look like these people get off on the heartbreak that they cause.
It’s different when someone approaches you for help and you make a promise just to get them off your back, even though you know you won’t help them. But it’s pure evil to approach them of your own volition and make promises with the intent to not keep it. As far as I’m concerned, this is like those people in the church who pledge large donations in places of worship without even planning to pay them.
They’ll stand in front of the congregation, promise heaven and earth just so that the people would clap for them and hail them. Simply to improve their standing in the place. But when time comes to pay what you promised, they’ll start chasing you up and down as they try to get a hold of you. It’s just not fair.
Donations in places of worship are purely optional and based on your capability. If you don’t have 1 million to give, don’t promise to give that amount. Because it’s not fair when the leaders start thinking that they have 1 million extra, not knowing that one douche was simply using them to catch cruise. And because they don’t usually print out the names of those who owe, they can do it as long as they want and as many times as they want. Making promises that they never plan to keep.
Well, if someone can make a promise to God and fail to keep it, who then are we mere mortals? They’ll definitely stain our white. Once I notice someone close to me like this, I immediately begin to keep my distance. I can’t bear to be in close proximity with such people simply because it doesn’t work too well for me. That’s just the truth. Because I know that I’d be doubting every single thing that they say. If you’re my friend and I have to doubt you all the time, why then are we friends? So, I simply move on biko.
I just hope that we’ll all learn and come to do better. It’s very important!

I also don't like those people who don't keep their promises. If someone break promise I don't give them the second chance means I don't trust them for the second time. But there are some people who love to break promises.
