As in ehn... The government is not the only one responsible for this. The moment we as a people would be ready to place all bias aside and only let those who deserve it to take charge, things will get better. It's just sad that favouritism is now the order of the day.

The government is an entity constituted by the people, so when I mentioned the government I was also referring to the people. And I'm not actually blaming the government, just like you said, I'm faulting the people for not being capable of choosing their leaders based on merits.
The most ravaging truth is that, bias is every human quality just like corruption exist within us all, until we find a way to create a system that would purge any form of bias from our minds that only then would we be able to make the right decisions.
It is almost illogical to expect himans to be the best version of themselves without something to force them into action and for a country like ours with hundreds of different indigenous tribes, it is almost impossible for our perspectives to align without bias.
