This is the last month of the year, the month that a lot of bad things happen all around. because the year is coming to an end and the desperate ones will do anything to get their hands on money
Two days ago, my coursemate was robbed in Lagos, wonder how it happened?
She was heading back home after school and that was when she entered this white bus, she said there were people inside the bus which made her feel it was safe but she was wrong.
Barely 5 minutes the journey started with her when the conductor threatened her with a knife and those on the bus were just looking meaning they were all in this together.
Her phone, bag, and money were collected from her and she was asked to come down and they drove off.
She was sad but I told her to thank God that they were robbers and not Kidnappers who harvest organs, if not that would have been the end of her life.
As for what she lost, she can still buy more expensive things in the future, as long as there is life, there is hope.
During the conversation, One of her friends said it was all her fault and that was because she entered (Sole) which is a cheaper bus and this is something many people do, they do not enter the motor from the Garage because those are more expensive and would prefer the cheaper ones that just come from nowhere all because of little change they didn’t want to pay.
She learned her lesson but there are others out there that still do this and hopefully those who read this post can tell their family members and friends to stop entering motors outside the garage.
Here is the list of what to do and not to do when traveling
- Only enter the motor from the Garage: This is very important, especially for people traveling inter-state, in the garage people always write their names, phone numbers, and also next of kin number and people know the driver that carries you in case any bad thing happens, they know who to contact.
Do not enter any bus because of the little change difference, your life matters.
- Snap the plate number of the bus you want to enter and send it to any close person: This could save your life if things go awry and they need to track your location or the people that kidnapped you.
Lastly, there are some people that you will meet inside the bus that will tell you to enter that they will soon get to where they are going, do not answer them, tell them when they get to where they want to descend you will also come down so they can get down easily, sit down close to the door, this is another way for this evil people to trap their victim…

With time the situation is getting critical and travelling alone is getting risky. Thank god your friend returned from there safely.
The two tips for safety to give is easy but in case of the second one I think very few people do this. Maybe it's because of laziness or it can be for don't care vibe.

Desperate times call for desperate measures. It's always important to keep a keen eye while travelling and to go the direct routes instead of trying to take a shortcut.
This is one of the reason I don't like travelling inter state .....

So sad sorry for her! It was good they they didn't take her life! I wonder if this people reaping someone's sweat forcefully has concience. We just need to be more careful and prayerful especially this month of December
