There is a factory in a street close to mine, where they make use of waste. I used to see a lot of used bottles and plastic dumped there but didn't know what they were producing until one day I was opportune to pass by again and saw some sets of new buckets being loaded in a truck. They have been recycling those used waste materials into something new and useful.

Aside from the fact they are making money doing this, they are also doing the community a great service, when people finish drinking bottled water, they dump the bottles on the street, and we have people picking it up and selling it to factories like this that needed it to create new useful things, it is a win-win for all the parties involved... The picker gets money for picking it up, the buyers also make money when they remake the waste into something useful and the most important is the community is free of waste!.
The world is so civilized that most of the things referred to as waste products are no longer waste because they can now be recycled... Our sachet of pure water nylon can also be recycled into useful products such as garbage bags, and sewage can be recycled into fertilizers.

Many of us recycle things but it did not come to mind that is what we are doing, for example, whenever I buy a pack of bottled water, I don't dump the bottles, instead, I start using them to store treated water in my fridge... If you check my apartment, you will see a lot of Bokku nylon because I often visit their mall to get things and I always buy one or two nylon most times to package my things, it got to a point that I always take one of their nylon with me whenever I am going there to buy things, I can't have so much of that at home and still keep paying for more, I also use some of the nylons as a garbage bag where I put in dirt which I end up disposing of later in the evening.
I once worked in a factory years ago where used cartons are being remade into semi-new cartons and resold, so what we do is unpin the cartons, create a new line to fold them, then we gum them, and put it in the sun to dry and within few hours, those cartons are ready to be used again.
One of our customers is people who make soap, they need cartons to package their goods and some other people find the carton useful too... So in this life, ideas begot creativity and even trash can become a treasure, it just needs to go through a process.

Recycling can be a way to create more money and also keep the environment healthy. I started respecting the idea of recycling a lot when I read about a story of a man that built a floating resort with empty water cans. That treasure built from trash has attracted thousands of people all over the world.
it is... It is also a source of employment because those with ideas need people to work for them.
Exactly
Yea, most people in Nigeria recycle for profit purpose mostly, but like you stated, it's a win-win situation
if there is no profit in it, i doubt my country people will be interested in keeping the country clean lol
Honestly I recycle things because of the money else I won't have that time to continue storing large quantities of bottles. except that I normally turn them into beautiful items at home.
yea, most of us have this mindset🙂
This will actually reduce the waste on streets and the fact that they can be used for something else will provide more job opportunities for people including those who pick up the plastics or bottles on streets…
the company I mentioned in the post have a lot of workers and no one is collecting less than 30k Naira there cos i know someone working there, so yea it create job opportunities.
Among waste products, plastic is the most harmful for nature, and we need to be careful in that case. It's better to recycle materials, which is good for nature.
I also keep plastic bottles like you after drinking rather than throwing them away.
recycling is good, nothing is a waste anymore.
Chai...
That bokku nylon is very important! It's big and it's spacious enough for anything you'll want to put inside. Very good for repurposing indeed!
I have a lot of it lol, and they serve a good purpose , no need to buy garbage bags when I can use them
