Woah...imagine at that time when things aren't so evolved as they are now. That means the rate of scam in this recent time is way too much. At least you had ypur mum to confide to and she told you everything.

What if she wasn't around at that time when the fraudster called what would have happened?

Some of us that fell victim because we didn't know any better, though we're a "fraudster wiser" now as it'll take a while before we fall victim ever again. I verify everything before I take a next step in anything digital these days

My mother was the one who explained to me that it was a scam, they have a very strong lip, they convince you that the thing they are talking about is really happening.

My luck is that even if she hadn't been there, I wouldn't have been able to do anything, I was a teenager of about 13 or 14 years old, with no money or anything, so I wouldn't have been able to pay for the cards, but I would definitely be terrified because I couldn't say if it's true or not.
