Good day, amazing people of the Hive blockchain! Welcome back to my blog. It is another edition in the #hivelearners community. I am so delighted to be participating in this prompt topic of unexpected places and people.
In life we learn quite a lot of lessons from people we encounter. Some of the lessons give us joy, while some have pain, not minding each that comes our way, they make us strong. Most of this experience stays with us. There are people who you will meet who are ever ready to go the extra mile to show you an act of kindness.
Kindness is an important virtue, but not everyone has it.
I will be sharing a story about myself. Sometimes kindness comes in a way we don’t expect it. I have received an act of kindness from a total stranger, a person I have never met before. They will always say there is an angel in human form; this woman is a good example of that. After my father's death, my uncles took away my father's property and left us with nothing. Things were really hard for us. My mom couldn’t afford to pay my school fees.
I lost my dad in my second year at the university. Out of frustration, I had to drop out of school. There is no money for me to eat, not to talk of school fees. I have to come out and look for something to do in order to help my mom to train my little ones. I applied as a sales personnel in a beauty shop; luckily for me, I was employed in the salon.
One faithful customer came into our beauty salon, and it happens to be my coursemate. She was so surprised to see me working as a sales personnel in a beauty salon; she asked me what happened. She felt pity for me after I narrated my story for her, and she promised to give me a call.
After some days she called me that her parents would like to meet me. To my greatest surprise, my coursemate told her parent about me, and they decided to help me. The promise to take me back to school Immediately they transferred my school fees for me and told their daughter that the both of us will live in the same house. I can’t believe that someone who is not my relation can be so kind to me. Immediately I started shedding tears of joy; the act of kindness was so much for me to stand. If I was told in my dreams that I would go back to school, I would not believe it. I have never experienced that kind of love before from anyone. Before, people who were my family members couldn’t do anything for me.
I have experience on both sides of the coin. I have this aunt of mine who I expected to be a nice woman. I never knew that she is the opposite of what she always displays for us. It is always painful that someone you expect to be kind to you turns out not to be. My dad was the one who trained my aunt in the university, but when I lost my dad, she turned her back on me. Before I dropped out of school, I wanted to beg her to assist me in paying my school fees. She turned me out of her house. I was so surprised because my dad was the one who trained her in the university. I left her house in tears; I couldn’t believe that my blood would treat me that way.
It affected our relationship because I don’t even talk to her. I cut communication with her. How can someone who I call family turn her back on me at the moment I need her the most?
It is very good to show an act of kindness; no matter how little it is, you may be saving a life with that little act of kindness.

Imagine someone your dad trained in school doing that kind of thing, it's not too good at all, I also have a similar encounter.
