Rain, Revs, and Rhythm: An Unexpected Evening at Kochi's Vintage Scooter Meet

Greetings All .! Hope you are all doing well .
So Recently My friend organized a vintage scooter meetup at a small skate park in Kochi, and I was invited to be the DJ. This event was happening at Loop SkatePark ( The First Ever Skate part in Kochi ) .

It seemed perfect – the smooth concrete of Loop's ramps and rails would be the backdrop for some classic scooters and good music. But Kochi weather had other plans. Just as we were setting up, the rain started pouring. Since we rented out the place we all decided do what we can to keep the event going .

It Kept on raining for hours and the skate bowl where i was supposed to Dj in also filled up with water .

Half the people who were supposed to come couldn't make it . But the Die Hard Scooter Fans enthusiasts came and found shelter under Loop's covered areas, where they parked their vintage beauties safely.

So I set up my DJ gear in one of Loop's dry spots and started playing.

The sound of rain hitting the park's ramps mixed with the music, while people splashed around in the bowl below. It was wild – definitely not what we planned, but somehow even better.

The park's layout actually worked in our favor – its covered spots became perfect hideouts for people to switch between admiring the scooters and joining the water dance party in the bowl.

The skate park, usually filled with skaters doing tricks, became this playground where people made the best of a rainy situation. Some were showing off their scooters under the shelter, while others were having the time of their lives dancing in the flooded bowl.

You know what's beautiful about nights like these? They remind you that joy isn't about perfect conditions or everything going according to plan. It's about people – their spirit, their ability to find light in the rain, to dance when the world says stay dry.

As I packed up my gear that night, watching the last few dancers splash around in the bowl under the street lights, I realized something: sometimes life's most precious moments aren't the ones we plan for, but the ones we stumble into – the moments where we learn to laugh at the rain, dance in flood waters, and find community in chaos.

Thanks for Stopping By .!!

Despite the weather, it seems you had a good time. I'm impressed at how well kept the vintage scooters are.
