Beauty of art

Hello beautiful people, how are you all enjoying the Harmattan season*

Arts mean different things to different people; the meaning I will read in an artwork might be positive, but another might read the negativity in the same artwork.

Many years back, while I was still in primary school, I loved art a lot, so one day, my teacher announced that we were visiting a museum.

Everybody was happy; I was the happiest cause I had anticipated a day like this. So, on the D-Day, I carried my paper and pen, and I was ready to ask questions.

In fact, I will say I was just curious and wanted to know why people draw past dead heroes and why they make the status of them.

When we got to the place, the tutor guide carried us not straight to the gallery first but took us outside, will I say the back of the compound.

Where they molded beautiful sculptures of different ancient heroes and deities. I got to ask a lot of questions that day; I was made to understand what art is.

Every simple artwork I saw that day carried a beautiful story with it; some stories are sad, and some tell of the sacrifice and suffering of our past heroes.

How we got to be a free nation. I saw a beautiful artwork of a mother carrying a child on her back, cutting a yam, nursing a sick man,, and on her face was a beautiful smile.

I have to ask why she was doing so many things at the same time. Don't she have someone to help her, won't she fall sick with all this.

As the tour guide just smiled at my innocence, I added salt to injury by saying I couldn't let my mother stress herself like this because she said it was the beauty of motherhood.

Things mothers do to move the home, despite them needing help, but they have to keep pushing and always wear a smile, even when they are exhausted.

After the excursion that year, I picked more interest in art; I appreciate every story and artwork, whether drawn, sung as music, or told as a story.

Does Every artwork have a story behind it? No, not every artwork has a story, and it's okay to create art without a deeper meaning. However, many artworks do tell stories, and the viewer's interpretation of the story is often key.

There are some things to consider when trying to understand the story behind an artwork:
The artist's inspiration is what he was thinking while creating the piece. Sometimes, the story of an artwork is often related to what inspired the artist to create it. For example, if an artist paints a mountain view and includes pigeons that a neighbor releases each afternoon, the painting has a story connected to it.

Some artworks have a known history or heritage that can help the viewer understand the artist's message. For example, Picasso's Guernica conveys the violence and suffering of Hitler's bombing of a Spanish village.

Whether it has a story or not, art makes the world look lovely

No matter how it is presented, art is beautiful, first, in the eyes of the beholder who is a lover of art and to the originator who has expressed the inner thoughts that led to his or her creativity.
Art is life and our everyday activities has a systemic touch of art.
Hence, the creator could decide to hide the true meaning for privacy sake.

The image you share of the woman is beautiful.

I cannot live without art, it is the most important thing in life, for the advancement of a society, for the growth of each human being, to understand where we come from and also to represent the different realities seen through the eyes of a artist.

Is that the photo you took in the museum?. You should indicate the name of the work, the artist and the museum where you saw it. I would like to see more works by that artist. It is important that you mention the model of the phone or camera with which you took the photograph, its type of lens and the resolution of the image if possible.

Remember that it is important to give credit to artists for their work.
I also suggest that you add it because any curator is probably going to ask you about it.
