Sunday Special: Delicious & Flavorful Aloo Matar Recipe
Hello, friends! Warm wishes to all of you. Today, I am sharing my favorite Aloo Matar (Potato & Green Peas) Curry recipe, which is perfect for a comforting Sunday meal. This dish is packed with flavors and can be enjoyed with rice, roti, or even bread. I hope you love it as much as I do!
Ingredients:
2 medium potatoes (boiled, peeled, and broken into small pieces)
1 cup fresh green peas (shelled)
2 medium onions (finely chopped)
2 tomatoes (chopped)
7-8 garlic cloves
1 small piece of ginger
2 tbsp oil
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp red chili powder (adjust as per taste)
2 tsp coriander powder
Salt (to taste)
1/2 tsp garam masala
Fresh coriander leaves (for garnish)
Instructions:
- Prepare the Ingredients:
Boil the potatoes, peel them, and break them into small chunks by hand (avoid cutting with a knife so they absorb spices better).
Shell the green peas and keep them ready.
Grind the garlic, ginger , onions and tomato into a smooth paste.
Stap by stap cooking process_
Heat oil in a pan and sauté some finely chopped onions until golden brown.
Add the prepared onion-garlic-ginger tomato, paste and cook on medium heat.
Mix in turmeric, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Cook until the oil starts to separate from the masala.
Stir in the green peas and cook on low heat, stirring occasionally, until they become tender.
Once the peas are soft, add the boiled potatoes
Pour in a little water and let the curry simmer for 5 minutes on low heat.
Sprinkle garam masala and garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
Turn off the heat . See tha final look.
