Unboxing my new Huion Kamvas 13!

in Hive Learners4 months ago

So, I just took the plunge and bought my first Huion drawing tablet! My ride-or-die has always been Wacom, but man, those things are getting pretty pricey. With so many alternatives popping up these days, I figured it was high time to check out what else is out there. That’s when I stumbled across Huion while watching a YouTube vid about the top drawing tablets for this year.

To my surprise, Wacom didn’t even make the list. I’m guessing the steep price tag might be why. Even though Wacom is top-notch and super popular, I decided to explore other options. I considered an Apple tablet or a Samsung Galaxy tablet; both are fantastic, but the price is just out of my league right now. Maybe in a few years, I'll splurge on a Galaxy tablet, but for now, I needed something that wouldn’t drain my savings.

So, I ended up with the Huion Kamvas 13!

I’m pumped to share the unboxing of my new tablet with you.

Since it was imported and came from the official distributor, it arrived in a brown box for protection. It was snug and easy to pull out. When I got to the white box inside, I was stoked by how smooth and sleek it felt; there's something so satisfying about handling a brand-new item.

After slicing through the seal and lifting off the cover, there it was, wrapped in plastic. Even though it’s not as pricey as an iPhone or Samsung tablet, the joy of peeling off that plastic and pulling the tablet out of the box was unreal. No wonder unboxing videos are so popular!

Inside the package, I found the tablet, the pen, a pen holder, a few nib tips, the manual, a glove, a cleaning cloth, and a bunch of cables.

The cables include HDMI for the display, USB for power, Type-C for connecting the display, and an extra set for powering the tablet with a power bank if you don’t want to use your laptop. It might not be the ultimate solution in connectivity, but it’s solid and works for me.

The standout feature for me is the pen. It’s super lightweight and doesn’t need batteries, unlike my old Wacom pen, which always felt a bit heavy and needed constant battery changes. Huion’s latest models have really come a long way from their older, clunky versions. They’re sleek and easy to handle now.

Yaaay congrats! You made a great choice honestly. I also have a Huion kamvas and they're still working PERFECTLY fine. Although I had quite a hard time figuring out the settings, I have no complaints so far and it's been almost 2 years with me. They are soooo much cheaper then Wacom and other brands and still give out exemptional quality. Have fun creating!

I’m so glad to hear your thoughts on the Huion tablet! I was having some serious buyer’s regret, wondering if I should’ve spent more for a better model. But hearing from a pro like you reassured me that this tablet will be a solid investment for the long haul. Thanks so much for the feedback! 😊

Ohooo, a brand new tools for art, you'll surely create a lot of amazing and cool arts as for sure, you feel more motivated with those new items no? I'm curious how long the tablest last if its full charged 🤔

It really is motivating to create some artworks using it. I’ve been looking forward to this day.

This drawing tablet doesn’t have its own battery. It has to be connected to a laptop / desktop / powerbank for it to work, it will keep on running for as long as it is connected to a power source.

Ohhhh, this is the first time I heard of that kind of tablet 🤔🤔.

Wow nice stuff you've got. Hope it will serve you well!

I hope so too 😊 now I have to allow some time to do my artwork.

nice! Is the pen stroke control better there compared to an ordinary tablet without a screen?

Yep, that’s totally me. My old Wacom didn’t have a display, so I had to get used to controlling it blind, which was kinda tricky. But this Huion with the screen? It’s a game-changer. It’s way smoother and way easier to pick up.

wow! congratulations on your Huion Kamvas 13, can't wait to see all your superb drawing.

Thanks man! I hope to make a post about my artwork soon.

You are welcome, let's see what you got for us.
I am sure you are going to nailed it 🥰🙏
