Freedom to me means when an individual does anything that he or she likes without an extra body or rules restricting them, now in our country today many people do whatever they like and however they want to do it without anybody calling them to other, to a good amount of extent we are actually free, infact looking at the situation of the country everybody is just doing what they feel like doing, the government do what ever is good to them and their families, the citizens on the other sides do whatever they like without a any strong law restricting them, or is it the forces that collect 100naira or 200naira everyday on the road from poor civilians… just some days back a video surfaced online about police officers and airforce officers fighting seriously because of money that they do collect from civilians and you say we’re not free?
In this country we literally do what we like, if not so how do some group of persons in a particular rise up and say they are property agents of that given area without any form of registered company and Identification cards, infact its now so rampered that extort people seriously collecting up to 10% from a buyer and the seller, if they were serious rules and regulations guiding the country and state then so many things wouldn’t go wrong.
Truth be told, although there so many possibilities and opportunities abroad but they are not as free as we Nigerians, we do not pay heavy taxes, we scold our children and younger ones when they are wrong without the fear of being reported to the police, just last week I spoke to a friend of mine that relocated to the United Kingdom and according to him he said that at the schools where he works, it’s impossible for him to discipline a child when the child is wrong instead he is the one that apologizes so that the child doesn’t report him, and if he tries to discipline any child he might be deported back to Nigeria, and I was like thats crazy.
Our country is an open country and a country for all, people come in and go out anyhow and anytime they want, unlike other countries that locks their border, people come into country with or without passport and they live normal lifes but i hear stories how my country go to another mans land hide themselves untill they’re able to get their complete papers because of the strong rules of deportation.
Living in a country where there are rules and regulations should be the best kind of country to stay, it gives standards to the country and because everyone would know their boundary, and the rightful things to do, as long as citizen have their human rights then its not such a bad idea to have good rules and regulations, for instance; injustice should be addressed and treated the rightful way be it a government personal, officer or civilians because we’re all human beings and everyone deserves their fundamental human rights.

I think Nigerian have same freedom problems like other Under developed countries. If forces can collect money then they can do any act of bad deed. We need better freedom like we have in developed countries.
The freedom we have is not such a good one, it actually makes the country look underdeveloped
