I’m sitting on my bed right now, tired, cold and sleepy. I really should be sleeping but I couldn’t ignore the guilt I felt knowing I was about to retire for the day without keeping to my promise of writing at least one post a day on Hive. So here I am, summoning courage to complete my tasks for the day.
I had a normal day I’d say. Couldn’t sleep properly last night due to the noise made by rodents in the ceiling. At a point I felt my ceiling had fallen off because I was woken by a loud bang.
Despite not sleeping well, I woke up by 7am. I tidied my room as usual, cleaned the kitchen, showered and proceeded to make breakfast. Before I could say jack, it was past 9am. That’s how I missed my first class..
The plan I had for today was to wake up early and finish my chores, then review my mmm the first chapter of my project as I was supposed to submit it to my supervisor today. I needed to be sure that there were no errors and I didn’t miss any vital point.
As a result of my inability to wake up as early as I should have, I ended up missing my first two classes and stayed back to review my project.
Unfortunately, I found my supervisor’s office locked as I went to submit it. I suddenly felt like all my effort and sacrifice was wasted but it’s all good.
My next class was by 4pm and was supposed to last for an hour. Since we had a break from 12pm -4pm, I had to go home. I have no friends in the hostel so I couldn’t lurk around the school premises till then so I just went home.
Unfortunately it rained and I couldn’t go back.
At around past 5pm, after the rain had subsided, I visited a family friend. She put to birth 8 days ago so I was invited to her child’s naming ceremony.
The ceremony was a small one and only family and very close friends were in attendance. She and her husband named their new born Sophia 🥹 Such a lovely name for a pretty girl.
The ceremony was fun too. It wasn’t all about prayers and thanksgiving, we played games. There was this very funny one where we were divided into 2 groups and each group chose á representative. The representative was given a Bible character and he was to describe it to us using gestures, while we figured out the name. I laughed my heart out. Some predictions were absolutely ridiculous and so was the description but we all had fun.
I returned home around 8pm. I started another round of clean up on my return. Fetched water and filled my drums, washed my clothes, toilet, and mopped my room. Had dinner and now I’m about to retire for the night. My classes for tomorrow begins by 7am. I hope I’ll be able to wake up early for it.
This is how my day went. How was yours?

If you do, you will join the ranks of Hive's seven-day rollers! We're out here!
(Make your life easier, though, by using PeakD's scheduling tools ... if you need to take a day because LIFE, you can schedule a post a day, a week, a month ahead!)
That would really help, thank you so much. I'll do that.
Happy Birthday to Newborn. We should have time schedule for everything. I appreciate your kind heart and hard working mind, have a good day.
That's a good promise you made to yourself. It's awesome to be able to post daily. Your day was well spent.
