The land used for Bahria Town Karachi was allegedly taken by force from Sindhi farmers. According to word of mouth, Zardari, a prominent Pakistani politician, was involved in this acquisition. The area was originally designated as "green land," meaning it was legally reserved for farming and not for property development.
Bahria Town projects are spread across Pakistan and are owned by Malik Riaz. There are rumors that all these projects have dark histories, including allegations of land grabbing and even murders to acquire the land. Bahria Town Karachi, in particular, is located far from the main city. To attract people and popularize the area, they organize extravagant fireworks and build grand statues. Being wealthy and influential, they can make any project successful despite its drawbacks.
While these claims are based on word of mouth and widely circulated information, those in power, especially with significant media control, ensure that whistleblowers cannot easily speak out. Still, you can find plenty of dark stories online linking Bahria Town, Malik Riaz, and Zardari.
Wow ..the issue of land grabbing is also common here especially by the politicians. Once they have an eye over a particular property maybe due to its location, they take it without considering anything or anyone.
Great scenes. I love watching fireworks. But in my country people don't follow the guidelines and make noise in residential areas. Harming infants, elderly and the birds on trees. Pretty sad story.
Bahria Town Karachi is famous for its New Year celebrations. People from all around the city gather there, and SOPs are properly followed.
There is also a replica of the Eiffel Tower (a similar model but much smaller in size). Watching the fireworks from the top was fun, but I didn’t record a solo video of it. (I don't have a video without faces of my family members shown)
It was really beautiful, a unique and magical moment for you. The fireworks were very beautiful here too, although they were simpler.

You might have a place in Brazil with special fireworks too. Here in Pakistan, Bahria Town Karachi is famous for its New Year celebrations.
Here’s a little Easter egg for you: According to official documents, my birthday is also on New Year’s Day! Once, I wanted to celebrate my birthday in Bahria Town with my friends on new year. This was during the 2020-2021 New Year. My family agreed but gave me a condition: I had to solve all the numericals in physics with 100% accuracy to earn the privilege. My test conductor was @medic233. I performed well and scored good marks, which is how I got to visit Bahria Town for the first time. It’s quite a long drive from my place, but it was a memorable experience! I can never forget any second of those joyful moments. 😊

I haven't ever been to bahria town. It seems like great fun there
Api (big sister), it's not suitable to go on bikes. You know how the environment is here. My cousin once went with his wife on a bike, and it wasn’t fun because of the unruly crowd.
If you can safely go by car with your husband and kids, then it’s a good idea to visit. You’ll need to leave by 7 PM to reach on time because there’s a lot of traffic. Make sure you don’t end up spending New Year stuck on the roads!
There are washrooms and resting areas available, but be sure to take a sheet or blanket from home for sitting. Also, it’s not ideal to take elderly people along, they won’t be able to stay for long, and seating arrangements will have to be managed on your own.
Lastly, make some biryani at home and take it with you!
My husband is not very fond of visiting crowded places just to view some fireworks. !LOLZ. So the plan doesn't seem to work.
And I agree that riding via bike is not a good choice. Bahria town is quite far away.
