Why do parent reject the kids ambition to become military personnel, it doesn't really means that they may be killed. There might be one who will come to cause a change.

Yes parents reject that because Nigeria is not a place to trust your children into (especially the military), if you are not influencial I bet you will be put on the front line in a planned battle and in the end die... So many parents have lost their children in the hands of the military and most of those death were not avenged so people prefer dieing a meaningful death as an ordinary civilian than to die in battle and the government won't say anything reasonable
And as a parent before your child joins the military you have a death warrant form to sign for them so that in case they die In battle, no one will hold the government responsible. So this can be scary for parents because it will seem you are just giving your child out and expecting a 50/50 chance of their survival... Thanks for coming around ✌️❤️
Seriously, with what our parents are hearing band seeing befalling young men who are in the army, even if we will be paid millions a month they will seldom permit us to join the army. Thanks for this nice input
