**What should be done to combat hormonal imbalance and stress, in Women**.

Introduction:
I amMnkong Emmanuel Saah, and i wish to share with friends of "HIve" space community a worry about hormonal imbalances and stress management particularly in Women and adolescent girls, which to me is a compelling concern. And what can be done to combat or regulate these changes that take place in the various stages of their lives. It is therefore important here to discuss the importance of hormonal health for women and to educate them on various strategies including adopting healthy lifestyle choices and good nutrition to improve Women's health outcomes and to give them the knowledge they need to handle their health.
Considering the fact that every woman passes through the various stages in life that come with hormonal changes and stress; it is good to target primarily the adolescent females to improve Women's health outcomes and empowerment while developing education programs to be presented in schools to better equip them with the knowledge they need to help them deal with these changes before it come.

Background knowledge about hormonal changes:
Hormonal changes in women occur in various stages of life, including menstruation, pregnancy, and menopause and can cause a range of physical and emotional symptoms. Nutrition plays a crucial role in the regulation and promotion of hormonal balance in Women.
√ Female hormones such as estrogen and progesterone are a group of chemicals produced by the ovaries, both of which are stimulated by luteinizing hormones and follicle stimulating hormone which are produced in the pituitary gland. Nutrition, and healthy lifestyle practices, not neglecting herbal medicine can help cope with menopausal symptoms and improve women's quality of life.

Discussions and analysis on hormonal fluctuations and stress management, in women:
° Manage your stress. Stress management can aid in producing and balancing other hormones, such as serotonin and dopamine, which are neurotransmitters.
° Elevated cortisol levels caused by chronic stress may cause symptoms like anxiety, depression, high blood pressure etc
° Combating stress by simply listening to music, doing Yoga, and meditation is very easy to come by. So always find ways to combat stress, and free yourself from related health hazards.
Stress interferes with normal function of the thyroid hormones; estrogen and progesterone in women. Stress harms your hormones in several ways. The hormone cortisol is known as stress hormone because it helps your body cope with long term stress.

Exercise:
° Adopting an active lifestyle is beneficial in managing stress and hormonal imbalances.
√ Getting regular exercise in your weekly routine has been linked to a host of hormone benefits cardio exercises like jogging, walking and running.
√ Getting enough physical activity strongly influences your Hormonal health.
√ The hormonal effects of regular exercise may prevent overeating. Even short exercise sessions help.

Nutrition:
Consuming food rich in healthy fats and fiber can be so supportive and beneficial in women health.
√ Fats particularly those rich in Omega-3 fatty acids, support the structure and function of cell membranes, including those of the hormones.
√ Including high quality natural fats in your diet may reduce insulin resistance and appetite.
√ Eating good fats is essential for hormone production as it is these fats that build our hormones as well as reduce inflammation. So always include a portion of good fats in your diet.
√ Another hormone balancing habit is adding healthy fats to your foods like Salmon, avocados, walnuts etc
√ Moreover healthy fats such as Omega-3 help increase insulin sensitivity by reducing inflammation. You can find these healthy fats in avocados, almonds etc.
√ Regular intake of fruits and food rich in fiber like green vegetables can be very supportive and important in Hormonal Balance.

Herbal medicine's use in supporting hormonal balance and stress management
° Apart from the aforementioned, herbal medicine has been identified as very important in supporting hormonal balance, and their role in women's health. Hormonal imbalances is a common issue among adolescent girls. The onset of menstruation, irregular cycles, hormonal fluctuations can cause physical and emotional changes that lead to emotional instability, depression and anxiety.

Dandelion root a herbal medicine can be used to help balance hormones by nourishing the liver, which metabolizes and eliminates hormones like estrogen in women. Dandelion root can be taken as tinctures or decoction which is made by simmering the root for 15 minutes. However this can't be taken by people allergic to ragweed, marigold chamomile yarrow, daisies; and people with gallstones.
