Everyone loves something that is of high quality and highly reliable. If it can not stand the test of time and can't be there when I need it, of what use is it?
Both the government and private services are good but they have their shortcomings as well.
Some years back, whenever they say a service is owned by the government everyone rejoices because a good rest has finally come but the order has changed now.
One thing that has been consistent with government owned service is the low cost. Most of the government services that I know are completely affordable, both the poor and the rich can enjoy it.
I remember a time I took my younger sister to a government clinic for malaria treatment, the check, the injections, drugs, and even drips all cost eight thousand Naira (8,000) but we went to a private hospital for something similar when I was sick and we spent about forty thousand Naira (40,000) the same year.
Imagine if I wasn't having that kind of money, what would have happened to me? If not that corruption has entered deep into various government organizations, I would have preferred the government services to private ones.
However, I won't because of the strike, poor services, and incompetent workers. The government seems to be a joke these days. Both your time and your resources would be wasted if your luck didn't shine.
My choice in terms of service is the private service. They are very expensive no doubt but they are of high quality and stable.
The government can shut down their service for a while in the name of strike but private organizations don't do that.
You can access the service any day, any time. You also have the right to complain if you are not satisfied with the service you are receiving.
There is mostly little stress when you are dealing with the private bodies than with that of the government. If you have ever tried to get any service from the government organization you will understand what I am trying to say.
You have to follow a long queue because of the crowd and waste so much time before you eventually get what you want.
Even in the hospital this happens, no matter the kind of pain you are going through, you will have to wait in a queue until it's your turn except it's an emergency case.
But in a private hospital, it's as if the workers are just waiting for you. Just be rest assured that you will be attended to in a short period of time.
You will get proper attention and proper treatment because the workers are not rushing to finish up with you. They are very aware that the kind of service they render today will determine whether you will be back next time or not.
Without the customer, a private organization will shut down completely but without you and I, the government bodies will still operate. The workers can go and just hang out with their colleagues and come back home and by month end, their salaries will be paid. They have nothing to lose, that is why some of them don't take what they do seriously.
Considering these things, for now, private services are the best and I'll recommend them to anyone except if the person doesn't have money.
