RE: Parenting habits to activate and deactivate: My experience as a child.

Parenting requires a lot of effort, for anyone who really wants to be a good parent, Parenthood can place such in a very narrow path. A lot of things that gives us pleasure would have to be trashed out inorder to bring up the children in the right way.

Your parents are good parents I must confess. A big kudus to your dad, he is a kind of father everyone dreams to have. You know some parents think discipline is all about flogging, they don't know that flogging a child without pointing their errors to him/her and getting them to a point of repentance is work done equal to zero. Let them Know their fault fault so that they won't repeat it next time.

Showing favoritism amongst child is evil, even if you love one child over the other, you should never dare show it else you will be the one to cause division amongst your children. Moreover they are all your children, why must you love one above the other?

The best part of it is that we are able to know all these things now that we are single, it's a better opportunity for us to correct the errors of our parents from occurring in our homes.

Yes, the earlier the better to point out those errors we experienced from our parents so we can work towards thrashing them out and never trying it on our kids. Thank God we have learnt and know what is right and wrong from our parents' experience.
