The world we are in today is unsafe. No one is to be trusted, people can claim to love you and draw near to you only to destroy you.
Some time ago, I watched a viral video on Facebook of a celebrity who kicked a fan who maneuvered his way to the stage by passing the security.
Many people over reacted over the incident saying that the celebrity was harsh, he shouldn't have kicked him.
Well, everyone has their opinion but I think the celebrity only did that to defend himself. Nowadays people are evil, as a celeb, it is very common to have enemies amidst your fans.
Just because a person is a fan doesn't mean his intentions are pure, he could even be a hired killer. Imagine it happened that he hugged the fan and then maybe the guy stabbed him. I believe people will now shift blame to the security and even to the victim for not being vigilant.
Fans these days are acting weirdly, I have watched several videos of fans, dragging jewelries, shoes, phones and jackets from celebrities from the stage.
That's totally uncouth and needs to be dealt with before it gives an avenue for something bad.
No matter how much fans long to see these celebrities, I think it's too much when they struggle and force themselves to touch them or take some things from them forcefully. If the celebrity wants to give those things out or meet with you, he/she will do so and if they don't, they won't, I don't see the need to display strange behaviors.
Moreover, they are just humans like us, they are not God, why get yourself hurt or in trouble just to have someone's attention? They may not even give you a dime or promote you like you thought. That do or die behavior to get to a celebrity is not worth it.
When it comes to celebrities, honestly I don't think it's their fault when they overreact when fans display funny attitudes. Like I said earlier, these celebrities have enemies, they are out there to be seen but they are scared within, they don't know what may come up at any moment.
That is why they defend themselves and act aggressive even when a fan's intention is pure. Trust me some of them are doing so from experience.
But I think some of them are going too extreme. Instead of kicking and punching fans, at least they can order the security to take the fan away or ignore them.
This is why I like Wizkid, most times if he doesn't know you, if you like, come and jump on his body, he would give you a cold shoulder. Many people say he is proud and arrogant for snubbing fans but I think he isn't, that's another way to avoid problem.
Your fans are only showing you love, it is out of the love that they spent money to attend your program, it will be so unkind to kick and punch them because they broke protocol.
In conclusion, fans should always respect boundaries and follow protocol to avoid getting hurt. The world isn't safe and not every celebrity has a good heart to overlook an abnormal behavior.
I made exact same point you stated, it seems our minds align on this subject. People don't consider celebrities as humans with vulnerability. They also feel threatened when people charge at them with no specific purpose.
Honestly, sometimes people think celebrities are some kind of super beings and immune to whatever but it's not so, they are humans too
Very well said! In as much as we love and idolize these celebrities, it's wise to respect boundaries, just as we wouldn't like a total stranger to just hug us from nowhere. These celebrities go through a lot to be honest, anything you do is always wrong coz you're expected to be the bigger person
Omo, those guys are really going through a lot. I just wish they society will understand this
Thanks a lot pandy❣️🥰
