Promoting Universal Human Rights ||HL contest_ w59e2 ||

When we heard the word "Euality" the first thing which came to our mind was Gender quality. Both men and women are equal and they should enjoy their equal rights. Gender descrimination is the topic of every country. Women are struggling for their basic rights and indeed it's the problem of many areas but 40% of women are fighting for cheap stunts. I mean if I talked about my religion, Islam has given alot of rights to women and men. Women are even part of family property. Men are protecting them from every evill eye by getting married to her. He worked hard for her women so she can enjoy pleasures of life. I'm talking about what I saw in my surroundings or in my own house but definitely it's not happening everywhere.

What equality means for me is this that woman and men should pay equal for the same job. We can see women's salaries are less then men even they are making the same effort as men does. So here is the one point. Equality means both genders are treated equally. For example, if a men insults a men and definitely everyone knows that now quarrel happen because men has ego problem which is natural but if someone insults women 20% women are replying them on their level but 80% women wanted to stay quiet because she thinks if she make drama it's her whose Respect affects. So here is the second point.

What "Equality" not means to me is that their men's who thinks women can do all the things by herself. I agree that they can do but women are weak physically. God made her sensitive emotionally and physically then men. So is this really convenient to ask her to do the same effort physically as men are doing. For example, if a man can get a chair on his own and he said to women go and get your own chair. It's normal but here men should prove his men power by showing gratitude towards her and helping her for getting a chair. These are the sweet gestures by man towards women.

Equality means equal rights not equal physical effort. We can't challenge what God made us. Don't ever get benefit from others emotions. Not only men but women should also treat his men like king. Love and respect never goes one sided. Both of them have to play their role for healthy relationship.

Yesterday I was watching one of myin favourite show which are hosted by "The steve Harvey". One women came to her and asks that she married eleven months ago and she loved her husband with all heart and her husband too. But my husband after marriage believes that everything should divide 50/50. He believes that marriage is fifty fifty so they both have to play their role 50/50. When they go for lunch or dinner, wife should also have to pay 50% of the bill. Here my question arrises is this really the word equality fits here??? I mean I was shocked to see these kinds of thinkings. People are now consider this word in wrong way. We need to work on our beliefs and we really should know the difference between a respect and equality.

These are some my personal opinion. You might disagree with them and it's totally fine. Everyone should have right to think according to their perception. See you on another post :)

This is a nice article and I think it's right if everything is 50/50 as you said, everything shouldn't be left for the man or for the woman to handle alone.

Yep, a successful society is built up with equal rights. Thank you for stopping by :)

I've been married 23 years.

My wife and I are not equal in our gifts. She has her strengths and weaknesses while I have my strengths and weaknesses. We don't split things 50:50. My wife says "What's hers is hers and what's mine is hers". She has everything and I have nothing. She's joking. In reality our bank account is joint. If she pays or I pay it all comes from the same account.

When it comes to doing things, well, we do what we are good at. My wife knows I'm good at paperwork. So, every form, all the paperwork, all the accounting, all the taxes and stuff all goes to me. I'm also good at finding good deals so all the shopping and travel plans are mine. Direction? She's terrible with navigation so all the driving is mine.

Now with housework? She says I fold her underwear the wrong way and I'm too slow at the rest of the clothes. I'm not a good cook. Wash dishes too slowly and dice onions too slowly. Those tasks she takes over.

In short sometimes I get more work, sometimes she gets more work but we respect each other, know each other, and share the load relying on the other persons strengths and covering their weaknesses.

Equal partners with different strengths.

Wouldn't have it any other way.
