Defamation of character is a punishable offense in the law, it is a sin that needs thorough discipline, all these are happening on social media in this digital era, some people are born for that, and some people are defaming other people in other to build their reputation, I know of a content creator who is always online to bully the actors, lying against them and allowing people to see them the way they are not.
My name is my biggest brand, and I always try as much as possible to protect my name everywhere I am, I do not like hate words against me, name travels a lot and if it is tarnished then you have a lot to deal with, so I will never allow anyone to tarnish my reputation or slander my name in the first place but if it happened then the person must face the law.
There was a case that happened last year on social media where we heard that a girl poisoned her ex-boyfriend with pepper soup and killed almost four to five people who ate the pepper soup, the rumor was spread by the guy's friend just to show his hatred for the ex-girlfriend, now the real truth is out when the autopsy result came out last week, the doctor said they inhale generator's fumes and they all suffocated and died.
Now the ex-girlfriend's name was tarnished by the guy's friend and no one is carrying the news to justify this lady the way they spread the rumor, no blogger blogged about the new update, and everyone on social media holds on to the first story that she killed the ex-boyfriend with his friends, social media is a place to spread and slander people name without giving it a second thought.
If I have a problem with anyone online I would rather apologize immediately than start spreading fake news about me, I dislike hate comments about my name, that is why I do not have many friends because I can't deal with gossip but if you later said that you want to be unfortunate and my name is your next topic to sit on then I have no choice than to take legal actions, actions that would leave you and your family in debt, there will be no warning again if I decided to take my action, because I do not know where the fake news have traveled to and how can I start to explain or how many people will I explain to that it is just a rumor, you will have to pay dearly for the damage.
I believe anyone who can slander people's names should be ready for the consequences, I do not believe in the saying "God will judge", I believe in action, let anyone who wants to fall me down enter the lion's den and fight for breath, anything that has to do with slandering of name online is a NO for me, I can't be watching people talking trash about me, I do not know who is ready to help me so if they see my name in the mud would they help?
Also, no company would associate with anyone with a tarnished reputation because the company is also at stake, social media is never a place to remain calm especially when it comes to this type of bullying, this can affect emotions and we have to stop it before it leads to suicide.

I also can't take slandering words with granted, I will deal with the person and he/she will regret ever been born.
Sometimes God takes a long time to respond to people who utter hate speech

This is mostly done with people who become famous and then people start doing wrong to them in the same way then they go into depression and then those who can't bear the depression commit suicide.
