One of the best rewards of dilligence, hardwork and skillfulness is popularity or fame. The truth is that we as humans are always drawn to fame or popularity as most want to be known for something whether as regards business, career or any other life endeavors. Fame/popularity is what we attained to based on consistent deliveries of excellence and it comes as a reward which is why not everyone will be famous or popular. However, fame/popularity comes with a huge price of caution and for some, it put them in the public spotlight which if not handled well may be dangerous.
It's always amazes that people easily forget that these celebrities or public figures are humans themselves even as we have the mindset of seeing them as "flawless or perfect" which is actual sense isn't true. The more reason they need to exercise carefulness in all they do. Of a truth, everyone has a celebrity of choice which we admire alot based on interest, proven records in one's field of interest, career, profession or chosen endeavor. However, it's unfortunate that fans of celebrities lets loose of their guard and let emotions overrule them when perhaps they see their favorite celebrity physically especially suddenly.
I believe that by time and chance, there might be such opportunities to see your favorite celebrity, however, things must be done decently even as we desire to see them maybe and profess our likeness of them desiring taking a picture or having their autographs for rememberance/future reference. However, we've heard of cases of physical abuse, injuries been inflicted on the fans by the security personnel or escorts of celebrities or by the fans themselves to the celebraties or entourage which i believe isn't good enough. Infact, some fans even leave their morals and can do anything possible because they want to have the attention of their celebrities.
As a sport lover, i do see and watch how those in advance countries do manage such moments which is better than how we do here in Nigeria and probably other developing nations. The same also goes to the celebrities aswell on how they relate with their fans. I believe alot is needed to be done as regards this even as we need to handle things maturely. Both the fans and celebraties needs to work on our emotions and how to handle fame/popularity because if not well managed, it can be dangerous. I believe that this is an individual thing which can't be generalized even as some celeberities and fans did well as regards this. The truth fans needs to know is that this celebrities have families, neighbors, friends and loved ones that they do see constantly with no issues talkless of seen you once in a long while. More is needed to be done in this regard even as any wrong play or incident can determine the span of the popularity. Maturity is the key word needed for this balance. I personally don’t have a favorite celebrity neither do I dislike one particular celebrity but I can’t stand the way people are taking this fan of a thing because it makes me angry anytime I see someone trying to get noticed by a celebrity’s all in the name of I am his or her fan.
It is normal to like someone but too much of everything is bad at the same time.

Just like you said, handling fame and popularity requires maturity. And there's the need for both parties to manage their emotions and behaviors so to avoid dangerous situations, celebs are humans too, they get scared and even the pressure of being a star alone is overwhelming, so there's the need for boundaries also.
