In this twenty first century, access to information is opened to everyone. One of the power that bings transformation and total change to life and communities is in the kind of good information paased. In this globalised world, access to internet is opened to everyone except for some site that are restricted however when one pays a certain amount gets aceess easily into it. Internet is an open space for all kind of things whether human or non human drop information. The information could be negative or positive.
Should access to internet be human right? Or should stopping one from the internet be a violation of right???i intend to share my perspective on this and what i feel could be done.
For me i think it should be a human right to access the internet. Surfing the net has both negative and positive impact on the individual. When you don't allow people to access the information on the internet easily then how would you communicate effectively to them?
Since the advent of internet, it has caused lots of transformation across so many shores of life. It is sad to say that many have abuse this kind of privilege and infiltrate the internet sphere with all kinds of dirty information that doesn't edify.
The same platform does a lot of transformation especially in the area of spreading information. I have been in a training for a couple of days now. Anytime i opened my phone, i used to receive lots of updates concerning whats happening in the world.
One of rhe easiest way to spread information is via the internet. It moves faster like a speed of light. I could remember when i was pursuing my first degree. There was an accident and the man couldn't survive it hence before they could convey news to the wife it was already spreading across everywhere that the man died. His picture and the incidence was pasted on Facebook. Just imagine i was restricted not to browse through the internet, what would have become of me? Thank God for the access to the internet. I am in total support for human rights in the internet not to be tampered with.
Stopping another individual from accessing the internet is actually violating the fundamental human rights of such person. There is right to information even though it should be properly regulated for balance. The only situation where one could be stopped should be toddler or underaged like my kids at home.
what would the world be like if a law is passed?
Passing a law to stop an individual from the internet is infringing on the human right of such personality. If this becomes a law hmmm it would affect people's productivity in the area of sharing information. It would make rhe world boring and inhabitable for some people.

Conclusions;
The place of internet and human rights should be properly defined. Internet affords one the ability to gain lots of information. When you work on the right information it will translate to transformation. My eldest son is doing well today because he knows how to surf the internet very well.
This is my response to the prompt for week 151 edition 2 from this beautiful community of hive learners. Thanks.
Yes, that's what I think, it should be a human right, for people to surf the internet for reasonable information.
Thank you for sharing
I totally agree with you
Regulation is important to put an end to information overload and misinformation, but the violation of internet access would be a major problem, especially in education, business, and global communication as whole.
