The advent of advanced technology has brought about so much ease and access in so many areas of our lives. I remember during the good old days when some chores and other things were done with some level of difficulty.

Imagine telling our forefathers that a time would come when we would no longer use firewood as the sole means of preparing our meals or that messages could be delivered in a matter of seconds as opposed to waiting for months after posting your letter for it to get to the destination of your loved one that the letter was addressed to. Or even telling them that we now have e-libraries as opposed to them traveling long distances to access books, I'm sure they wouldn't believe us, but this is our reality now.

The fact that we can get information and knowledge at our fingertips is both a blessing and has pitfalls to it also. The internet and other platforms have brought about easy access to knowledge, gone are the times when you had to travel long distances to attend classes or training, now from the comfort of your home, you can easily take a course or a class.

As a result of the easy access, individuals are now able to keep learning continually, we are no longer tied to the institutions of learning that usually have time frames or durations for their courses. These days you can learn something new on the go, and even when in the convenience, you can be learning, at old age, you can develop yourself because the information is readily available.

Getting up-to-date information on the latest developments and trends is now a walk over. It's more like a new ending stream, and you're at liberty to pursue new interests regardless of your age.

As much as there is a good side of a thing, there are also bad areas too, anything that has an advantage, will surely have a disadvantage.

With the numerous information available to us, it can be overwhelming having to sift through to get the one suitable, accurate and adequate for your needs. We all know how when something is in abundance, telling the good or valid one apart from the irrelevant ones becomes a challenge because you have to be very thorough.

Just because knowledge or information is easily accessible, most of us no longer use our brains, we just depend solely on the internet and other knowledge sources. For most of us, there's no room for critical thinking, we no longer want to think deeply about matters, because in our minds we're like why should we stress our brain when Google or other AI tools are at our disposal?

The various generations have individual peculiarities, for the newer generation, the ease of access to information makes learning easy and less stressful, while for the older generation, it helped build some form of resilience and deeper understanding of different subject matter due to the in-depth research they had to go through. Also, the newer generation has access to global connectivity, while the older generation can retain the knowledge gathered as a result of the effort put in.

I think being in each of the generations have their merits and demerits, I don't think any set is smarter or more intelligent than the other.

Thank you stopping by🌹

Technology is very good and it has helped us a lot. Through our technological gadgets, we can get things done easily. On the other hand, it can bring harm, which needs our carefulness.

You have made a good point here. I can't also say the older or younger generation is smarter or intelligent because there were and still are merits and demerits to easy access to learning and I believe everyone has their ways of going through it.
