Hello everyone! This is officially my first post on the hive platform.
I have always thought about what I would write as my next post but I just kept procrastinating until I stormed on a post on Instagram that says; Even when you do not know what to write, just write what comes to your mind. I took the advice and here I am today.😊
There is a common saying we all know that says; Time waits for no man but I noticed we all try to catch up with time but never meet up because time isn't just about moving but about GROWTH.
Why does it seem like nothing has changed in 3 years? Time continues to pass, but there is no evidence of its passage in the world today.
Everything continues to be the same.
Time passes without progress.
How does it feel to watch a child you gave birth to age numerically but not physically?
It affects both our lives and the world around us. Why do we get older but not bigger?
These are the questions that run through my mind.😪
No one should be under any pressure because you should not view achievement in the same manner others do. Just make sure you are increasing in every area of your life. If you feel you are not where you are meant to be take things slowly till you get back on your feet again.
A quote by Martin Luther King Jr. :
“If you can't fly, run. If you can't run, walk. If you can't walk, crawl, but by all means, keep moving."
If school is not going as it should, look for what to do, you can even read ahead of classes if that's what you want. Don't let school or anything define your life.
If something else isn’t moving that doesn't mean something else wouldn't.
I saw today (when you see this it would have been days)on a friend's status; It says because you do not see the movement doesn't mean moves aren't made.
You don't need to tell everyone about how you're growing right now. I always believed that if you see people who aren't displaying evidence of doing anything, they aren't doing anything because most people grow and develop themselves without showing off. I learned this the hard way.
Growth can't be concealed. It reveals itself in due time.☺️
When I mean development, it's not what we all define as development today like getting cars. Yes, those things matter but they are liabilities. We should develop ourselves intellectually, spiritually and in all other necessary areas, we need development.
I'm not perfect, because I've had my fair share of moments when I chose to dwell on what I haven't accomplished or what isn't going well rather than looking ahead.
Every year, the majority of us set objectives for the year (also known as new year's resolutions), yet at the end of the year, we are rarely halfway there. Kudos💪🏼 to those who accomplish everything they set out to do at the start of the year.
Most times the reason why we do not accomplish what we plan to do is that we keep on looking at the mountain of unaccomplished tasks
Instead of focusing on what you haven't accomplished, recognize your accomplishments and move on.
We are likely to fail because we aren't perfect. Don't put pressure on yourself of what the world defines to you as life or being fulfilled.
Those little successes we think are little, it's just a matter of time until they pile up to be great achievements.
If you maintain what you have, you still own it but if you don't you may lose it.
If you don't celebrate yourself for the little achievements you have and expect bigger ones, you won't know the value of what you've achieved.
It is better late than never. Take life slowly but ensure you are growing.✌🏼
