Happy first Sunday of the year dear wonderful friends on Hive, I have a good feeling it's going to be an amazing year, especially in this creative community, looking back on all the interesting DIYs I've made in the previous year, I feel proud and grateful for the opportunity and encouragement given to us here, as we share our creative ideas every Creative Sunday, and to you, all my readers, a big appreciation goes as well, your comments upvotes, reblogs, etc have all been a great support to me as well. Thank you all, I am looking forward to an even more interesting new year, and I wish the same for everyone.
Today, I will be sharing with you how I repurposed an old rusty hairband into a new flowery beautiful one, I made a new dress for my friend's daughter, and since I still had leftover fabrics, I decided to put my old and rusty hair band to good use, instead of just leaving it lying useless.
Materials used
- Satin fabric
- Organza fabric
- fabric gum etc
Making Process
- My metal like hair band with rhinestones looks old and rusty here
- The first thing I did was create a loop casing of one inch in width, turning it to the good side,
Then I passed it around the headband, securing the two ends with the fabric glue, keeping it in place.
- Using the organza fabric, I cut out some strips which I gathered and folded to form the shape of a rose
Finally, using my fabric glue, I attached roses to the headband, and here is the beautiful final result sitting pretty on my little friend's head.
Nothing really goes to waste, all we just need to do is think of creative ways to put them into good use.
