In a city, we are susceptible to many different types of pollution. For sure if the smaller the city is you reduce a bit. Talking about pollution at first we think about nocive gases in the air that could bring pulmonary diseases and allergies, but we have noise and visual pollution as well. All of them can be very annoying and reduce your quality of life. the more people living in near proximity to your house the higher the probability of having some type of pollution coming to your house. I spent around 25 years in the apartment where my parents live. When I was younger I was the source of noise pollution for the neighbors living in the apartment below us. Me and my brother used to play soccer with small balls in our living room. So lots of jumps, the neighboor used to start knocking the ceiling of her apartment using a broom! Living in an apartment building is a place that for sure you will pass through a certain type of pollution or other problems with other people, my biggest problem was when I was living in Moncton, and the father of a big family used to smoke a lot, and all the smoke used to came to our apartment all the time, despite of having small kids that was the worst thing for me.
Em uma cidade, estamos suscetíveis a muitos tipos diferentes de poluição. Certamente, quanto menor a cidade, isso é reduzido um pouco. Falando sobre poluição, inicialmente pensamos nos gases nocivos no ar que podem causar doenças pulmonares e alergias, mas também temos poluição sonora e visual. Todos eles podem ser muito irritantes e reduzir sua qualidade de vida. Quanto mais pessoas vivendo em proximidade com sua casa, maior a probabilidade de ter algum tipo de poluição chegando até você. Passei cerca de 25 anos no apartamento onde meus pais moram. Quando eu era mais jovem, eu era a fonte de poluição sonora para os vizinhos que moravam no apartamento abaixo do nosso. Eu e meu irmão costumávamos jogar futebol com bolas pequenas na sala de estar. Muitos pulos, a vizinha costumava começar a bater no teto de seu apartamento usando uma vassoura! Morar em um prédio de apartamentos é um lugar onde com certeza você enfrentará algum tipo de poluição ou outros problemas com outras pessoas. Meu maior problema foi quando eu morava em Moncton, e o pai de uma família grande fumava muito, e toda a fumaça vinha para o nosso apartamento o tempo todo, apesar de ter crianças pequenas, isso era o pior para mim.
Small kids cry a lot in addition to making other noises that look like they are breaking all the house. Also in Moncton, I moved to my first house, it was a semi-detached house. Instead of having close neighbors all around, I had a next-door neighbor. The construction of a semi-detached house is divided into two houses. My neighbor had a special kid and we understood that he had many screaming attacks that bothered us a bit. The house used to be in a court, is a dead-end street and my house was exactly in the end, a very quiet place where kids could go out with not many cars going there in addition to neighbors. Something that reduced a lot in my noise pollution when I came to Canada was the reduction of motorbike engine sounds. They are very noisy. The simple reason is that it is impossible to ride them during the winter, there are motorbikes but only in summer and a reduced number compared to Rio de Janeiro. However, there was a house in my court where I think the guy was a car mechanic, he used to see many people with their cars or motorbikes in his driveway, opening the hood and doing some stuff in there. That raised the number of cars in the court, but there was a worse thing. He built a small motorbike for his kid that was between 6-8 years old. It was a mini-bike pretty similar to a real one and it could reach a high speed, more than 50 km/h for sure. It was dangerous to give a machine to a kid like that, but the worst was the noise. The engine when accelerating was so noisy. It woke up my youngest daughter when she was a baby many times during the afternoon nap time. I hated that.
Crianças pequenas choram muito, além de fazerem outros barulhos que parecem que estão quebrando toda a casa. Também em Moncton, mudei para minha primeira casa, era uma casa geminada. Em vez de ter vizinhos próximos por todos os lados, eu tinha um vizinho ao lado. A construção de uma casa geminada é dividida em duas casas. Meu vizinho tinha uma criança especial e entendemos que ele tinha muitos ataques de gritos que nos incomodavam um pouco. A casa costumava ser em uma rua sem saída, e minha casa estava exatamente no final, um lugar muito tranquilo onde as crianças podiam sair com poucos carros passando, além dos vizinhos. Algo que reduziu muito a minha poluição sonora quando vim para o Canadá foi a redução dos sons dos motores de motocicletas. Eles são muito barulhentos. A razão simples é que é impossível pilotá-los durante o inverno, há motocicletas, mas apenas no verão e em número reduzido em comparação com o Rio de Janeiro. No entanto, havia uma casa na minha rua onde acho que o cara era um mecânico de carros; ele costumava ver muitas pessoas com seus carros ou motocicletas em sua garagem, abrindo o capô e mexendo lá dentro. Isso aumentou o número de carros na rua, mas havia algo pior. Ele construiu uma pequena motocicleta para seu filho que tinha entre 6-8 anos. Era uma mini-moto bastante semelhante a uma real e podia atingir uma alta velocidade, mais de 50 km/h com certeza. Era perigoso dar uma máquina assim para uma criança, mas o pior era o barulho. O motor, ao acelerar, era tão barulhento. Acordava minha filha mais nova quando ela era um bebê muitas vezes durante a soneca da tarde. Eu odiava isso.
Life solved all these noise problems, I had to move to another city and this time I bought a single house, the street isn't a court but it is still very calm with no motorbikes at all this time. The amount of all types of pollution reduced, well it depends, the region gets lots of smoke from wildfires during the summer, nothing can be perfect.

It is funny, you were once the case of noise for your neighborhood 😂. Children are noise machines in any house and they are unstoppable. Living in a court where a car mechanic is living near you produces a drama. But I appreciate his efforts in inventing a mini motorbike. Sometimes, the gargling sound of the engine is troublesome. It was a good decision to keep yourself away from the noisy environment.

Children of neighbors are necessary evils of noise pollution and we just have to understand with the parents while we plead they caution their kids.
Building such machine is quite dangerous for a kid that age.

Têm vez que atrapalha pra caramba, mas, até que ultimamente parou.
Sobre motocicletas, não tem o que falar, aqui no brasil ainda tem uns fi de kenga que faz a moto ficar com aquele barulhão dos inferno, é tenso kkkk
