Unleashing My Inner Nomad: My Decade-Long Travel Experience and Tips

Hey Hive community! 🌎

It's been an incredible ride since I first started my globetrotting adventures back in 2011. Over the last decade or so, I've stepped foot in 12 countries (give or take a few... my memory isn't what it used to be!).

My journeys initially started as a leisure activity, but I've found a way to fuse work with fun, documenting my travels, and sharing my experiences with everyone out there. You could say I've become a professional wanderer of sorts! lol hehe

Most of my nights are spent in hotels, but I'm no stranger to Airbnb and other affordable accommodations when the budget calls for it. And while the thrill of exploring new locations is always exhilarating, there's one destination that still holds a special place in my heart - home sweet home, Japan 🎌.

Over the years, I've learned a few crucial things. Here are three nuggets of wisdom that I've picked up along the way:

Always have a credit card at the ready. You never know when you'll need it!
Beware of any sketchy folks trying to take advantage. Sadly, not everyone has good intentions.
Powerbanks are a godsend! It's a digital age, and you can't afford to be out of juice, whether you're on a train, in an airport, or out in the wild.
Believe me when I say I've had my share of 'low battery' nightmares and let's not forget those hours spent as a chance passenger at the airport - free tickets can come with a cost of time!

To all the newbie frequent fliers out there, here's a word of advice - invest in a good travel adapter and a trusty backpack. With these two in tow, you'll find yourself more prepared and free to explore!

Technology has been my trusty sidekick throughout my adventures. Lately, I've been using a lot of internet to guide me on my travels - the best food, the most efficient routes, you name it!

And let's not forget about health! A supply of USANA vitamins and a trusty bottle of melatonin keep me feeling energetic and well-rested, no matter where I am.

When it comes to packing, I'm all about efficiency. I pack clothes for specific days and adopt a wash-and-wear strategy. This has helped me keep my luggage light and manageable.

Language barriers and cultural differences can be tricky. That's where Google Translate comes in handy - it's like having a universal translator at your fingertips!

Over time, I've learned to observe more and spend less. Look for free water dispensers, make use of free wifi, and when it comes to commuting, go local - it's usually cheaper and more immersive than the tourist-specific routes.

And for a little secret - Vietnam is my hidden gem. High-quality, semi-branded clothes and accessories can be found at prices that are hard to resist.

Traveling has given me a broader view, in both my personal and professional life. It has been an enriching and humbling journey, one that has helped me grow as a person. If you're considering traveling more, I say, take the leap. The world is waiting for you to explore!

Until next time, safe travels! 🌍✈️

Damn, you've visited many countries!!

I kinda like wandering from one place to another but just inside the same country and wish to travel in others someday..

Those tips are so reasonable... Especially that sketchy folks and low battery!! Haha, that's something I've seen here.

Hopefully one-day will explore the world!!
