I know you are Roman Catholic and that is why I'm sharing this with you but it's not a must you accept it, but I really do hope you read those passages and see what the Christ your are celebrating his death has for you. Just thought you should know.

We also cerebrate the Lord's supper on Thursday before Easter. People have different doctrines they believed in ready.
Yeah, people have different doctrines but Christ has his own, except we want to stick to the one of man 2John 9.
Christ had his own he died and rose up on the third day that is what we are celebrating
