If your employer refuses to accept some things you have said just because it is not what they agree with, then that is on them. Just do you as long as it's right with God. The other things are secondary.
On the other hand, the idea is, stop showing everyone that you have a private life because that will only attract people to you because they want to know what is so private about your life. But if you act like you don't have anything to hide, they will soon think you are an open book and stop trying to know more about you because to them they have seen everything about you. (I'm not sure if you understand though, but it is what it is).
