It's an interesting part of playing chess , I never knew how to play chess until 3weeks to my hostel interested series championship in UNN where I registered to play chess... And I was able to get the silver medal, out of 32 contestants. I met 6 and beat 5... Losing to the defending champion.
Yep it took me three weeks to buy the board , download some apps and learnt basic chess moves and skills.
I only credit the silver winning to the Queens Gambit move. I was able to check mate 2 opponents after 5 moves and the other 3 with less than 15 moves.
