In a country, a road is a public asset, and water is a free asset. Both are necessary, but both are free at the same time, and we don't understand the real value of those properly. In a country, roads are public property owned by the government, and in case of water, it's available in nature more than enough, and we can get water almost for free.
Things are getting crazier with time now. I have heard that people are buying land on the moon. Sounds ridiculous, but it's the reality, although I don't know the use of buying land on the moon. In such a situation, it won't be surprising if I hear private companies get the ownership of roads and water. What if such a crazy thing happens? Will it be beneficial for us? I am discussing it considering my country's perspective.
A road is needed to travel from one place to another place. We have the vehicles, but all of those are useless if there is no road to ride those vehicles. At the current time we can use the road without paying, as there is no owner of that road except the government. Right now, most of the roads are quite developed compared to the past, but the road structure and shape are still not ideal. Those roads could be in much better shape if there were no corruption. They use low-quality material, and there was no one to ask about it as those were handled by the government, and the management was not strict enough. If the construction of the road were done by any private companies for their own means if they had the chance to be the owner of the road, they would give the best material for the road considering the long-term benefit and to save their money. The quality of the road would be good, but they would charge huge money for the fee, and I am quite confident about it, as I think all the company owners only think about their profit. It can be a way to control the government also in the future. But I think it would be better if the private companies got the ownership, but the charge of the road should be strictly monitored by the government, and there should be punishment for the unreasonable charge of it.
Let's talk about water. In the future, the crisis of pure water will be a significant event for sure. We need water to survive, and thinking about life without water is impossible for us as we need water every day in our daily lives. Fortunately, we get water for free. Instead, some companies supply water after purification. It's still very cheap because those company owners know that if they increase the price of water, people won't buy that water as they have the option to get water for free. So, those companies can't increase the price of water without any valid reason; otherwise, it will impact their sales. If private companies become the owners of water, the situation will be terrible as those businesses only think about profit, and they can go the extra mile for profit. If they had any issues with the government, they may use the water source to threaten the government also. In the case of water, I don't think it's a good idea. I think the government would not allow such a thing to happen.
It's the 1st of March, and as the first day of the month, it's the HPUD. I think you also know the importance of powering up. For successful participation, powering up at least 10 HP is enough.

it is the road that can't be monetized nor privatized, how will they do it? do we pay everytime we use a road? everytime we trek on it? not just possible
I think there should be system for it like monthly pay or yearly pay for all the road. Maybe it's not possible now but it can be possible in the future who knows.

It is certainly true that roads are so necessary for us. Although the source of water comes from nature. It is not available for free like drinking water is now. But not everywhere.
In the case of roads, whether it will be right or not is not the main issue. The issue is finding a solution. You have said exactly one thing that the owners of the company used good materials for their own benefit and tried to make the roads long-term.
A great post and I liked it.
You're very correct. It's only a matter of time before we start to have severe water issue. Clean water will be a privilege and I'm sure that at that time, companies will swoop in and monetize it. The future can really be scary.
You made a good point. If private companies take over roads, they might build them better, but they will also charge high fees, making it expensive to travel. Even if the government controls the prices, it needs strict monitoring to work.
Water is even more serious because we all need it to survive. If private companies own water, they could raise prices and control who gets access. So instead of selling roads and water to private companies, maybe the government should focus on doing its job better.
