Every living creature has the ethical right to survive. But humans are known as the best creatures on earth, and naturally their life is more precious compared to other living creatures, and it's quite predicted. Human life is the most precious, but it doesn't mean the lives of other animals should be taken.
Some people think killing animals is not ethical, but again, many animals are the food for us, and we love to taste them. I think a few percentage of people don't eat other animals as food. So I am just ignoring the animals that were naturally designed for food for us. What about other animals? Can we kill them or experiment on them? To be honest, the answer is quite easy, but again it's difficult from another perspective.
We are living in a digital world with advanced technologies. In the case of medical science, medicine is a sensitive issue. Vaccines of viruses can also be included in medical science. In the past, when a new medicine was created or a new vaccine was invented, it would apply directly to humans for trials. The surprising thing is that most of the people didn't know they were used as a trial for medicine. I believe that it's totally wrong because no one has the right to play with the life of others. Each life is precious.
Later scientists found similarities between humans and animals. Zebrafish and guinea pigs are two examples, and their proteins are quite similar to humans and show similar reactions to human body proteins. So, scientists started to test those animals first before the trial of humans. It can minimize the loss of human life and help to understand the possible scenario.
I think human life is the most precious, and to protect the life of humans, sacrificing the life of animals is worthy. I am not saying those animals lives are useless, but it's a matter of importance. At least the loss won't be too much compared to the loss of human life.
Humans are the kings in this world who dominate everything, and animals are soldiers who may need to sacrifice to protect the life of the king, and it is not so surprising.
I know from one perspective it's cruel, but do we have any better options or any alternatives? If we had any, we wouldn't make experiments on animals. So, I think the question is not reasonable unless we have alternatives. It says that sometimes great things require sacrifice, and I think in this case we need to bet on the life of animals. It's better compared to betting on human life.
I just hope that we will find a better solution in the future. So that we won't need to bet on animals lives. I believe that someday it will be possible, especially with the help of AI; we may see alternative options soon.

I agree, even when we don't like it, there is always something to be sacrificed and there is that hierarchy as a gauge when choosing which to give up.
Hmm. Sometimes we need to sacrifice and we need to do it considering long term effect and benefit.

True that. It's tough to weigh our options especially when it involves life or something that will impact us in the long run.
