Taken advantage of peer pressure

in Hive Learners2 days ago

Time is the most precious thing, and it is known to all. Instead of it, most of us choose to spend time or waste time unless we are forced to make the best use of it. If we are not forced to do something, we choose to be lazy. But when we are surrounded by active people, many of us become active because of the influence. The incurrence comes from similar-age people; we say it is peer pressure.

Peer pressure is a thing that can influence a person positively and negatively depending on the mindset and the situation of one person. It's because some people can take advantage of peer pressure, and for some people, peer pressure can be a burden.

For some people, peer pressure comes first with study as well as academic career. Fortunately, since my childhood, I've been very good in my academic career, and I never felt peer pressure for it. In fact, I think other students as well as my friends may feel peer pressure because of me.

Let's talk about my mindset. Many times I already mentioned that I have a robotic mind, and I love to keep things simple. I don't love to compare myself with anyone; it doesn't matter if I'm better or worse. I raise my voice even if my parents try to compare me with anyone, as I don't allow it in any case. Considering my mindset, it's really very difficult to feel the peer pressure when it comes to me because I always consider myself the best from my position, as it gives me satisfaction. If someone is doing better than me in life, I feel happy for that person rather than feel pressure because I am not jealous of him. I don't need to be like him because we are different people, and our ways can be different.

In the offline world, I think I never felt peer pressure in any case that made a significant impact; otherwise, I forgot about it. Maybe my damn mental care is the reason for it, but in the online world, I felt it many times.

During the beginning time of COVID-19, I became active on social media and made some friends. Some of them were trying to make some money online, and I was one of them also. One day one of those friends invited me to a writing platform and said that I could also write to earn money. Although I could write moderately but I never expected to use it for earning. At first, I registered, but later I came to the writing platform when my friend showed me how easy it was to make money. That was the first entry in a writing platform. With time I improved my writing skills, and later I came to the Hive platform. I think that if my friend hadn't insisted on joining the writing platform, I may not be in Hive right now to share it.

That is another thing, cryptocurrency trading. It was also in the time of the pandemic. I joined a group; most of the time, members were similar to my age. I don't know who and why the group was created, but in that group, some members used to share the profit they got from trading. When it's about money, that catches attention immediately, and in my case, it was also the same because I also wanted to make money like them. Unfortunately at that time, I was not brave enough to make investments for trading, but those friends gave me a little spark of them, and with time I gained knowledge about cryptocurrency, and little by little I became involved in cryptocurrency trading. So I became influenced to see their profit and spark converted into fire right now, and I am more confident when it's about cryptocurrency trading.

In the offline world peer pressure is never an issue for me, but in the online world, I could take advantage of peer pressure, which is helping me to achieve financial freedom in the future.

Interestingly, i also learnt how to trade in a similar way, though I didn't join a group, but I was influenced offline.

It's great to see how positively hive influence you.

It doesn't matter if the influence came from online or offline. As long as it influenced you positively and helped you to be better, it's good for you.

I can quite relate to not comparing myself with anyone. I do get that in very few scenarios. It sort of serves as a reason to be motivated, but I'd rather not.

It's good to know that you've learned and been impacted positively by different things and people.

I think comparisons start from parents since our childhood time and it mostly used to taunt us, especially in case of study. At some point, I blame parents for such a mindset.
Indeed, I feel good because I didn't face the negative consequences of peer pressure.

I myself do not compare myself to anyone. You are all different and are full of scale and expertise in each subject. It is certainly foolish to compare myself to others in any subject. I do not like it at all. But I like my freedom, that is, to do what I want. Although I do not understand much about trading, now it is a little clearer how to patiently buy coins for a long time. It was a very nice topic.

Hmm. As all of us are different, so comparing is not a good thing because it can bring negative consequences. We all have some specialties and we should try to find it and improve ourselves.

It's obvious that you took advantage of the peer pressure in the online world and it's been a blessing to you. God your friend pushed u into writing and u accepted, if not, I wouldn't have known Intishar.. lol
It makes sense when we allow ourselves to be influenced in a positive direction only
