Relationships can't be taken lightly. Most of us think first about romantic relationships between couples, but that's just one important kind of relationship. Relationships between children and parents and family members are also important, but those don't get toxic easily like they do in a relationship between couples.
For many reasons, a relationship can be toxic, but in most cases, couples are not ready to leave that kind of relationship. I think if there is any chance to eliminate the toxicity of a relationship, staying in that relationship is okay, but if there is no chance, leaving the relationship is the best solution for both partners. Instead of it, why do people don't want to leave it? Can you guess?
I believe that most people want a healthy relationship that has a future. Sometimes toxicity comes in a relationship, and that's a natural thing, but most of the time people can eliminate toxicity. Sometimes people understand that they have no way to be eliminated. But they resist accepting it because they hope that with time the relationship will be good automatically, but the result is the opposite in most cases.
For a married couple, mostly female people suffer more for toxic relationships based on past data. And one of the reasons female people can't come out of the toxic relationship is because of finance. They think managing their life expenses is difficult, and they will suffer if they come out of the relationship. Actually, they become too much dependent on their partners for finance, and that restricts them from coming out from it.
We are living in such a world where males and females both can be independent and capable enough to feed themselves. Instead of it, the mentality of many people didn't change, especially females. They still consider themself weak, and it's the reason for why they don't get the courage to come out of a toxic relationship. I think they need to come out from that kind of mentality.
Societal pressure is a thing that applies to all of us. I think if a relationship becomes toxic, it's hard to notice that others. Everyone wants to maintain their good reputation in society, and considering the things, partners continue their toxic relationship. In that case, family pressure also plays a great role. I think family members insist on keeping the relationship because they think separation is shameful for a family and hard on the reputation, and that's the reason family members try to keep the relationship between partners.
I think for parents their child is the most important thing, and at any cost, they try their best for the better future of their child. Even they don't hesitate to sacrifice their life for it. For a child, both father and mother have specific and very important roles to play. To ensure a good future, parents are ready to bear many things. Even if the relations become toxic between the partners, they don't want to ruin the future of their child, and for their child, they try to maintain the toxic relationship. I think they are ready to suffer for a better future, but at the end, their toxic relationship affects their child most.
Whatever, I think if there is no future of a relationship, it's better to separate the way between partners otherwise both partners with end up receiving the maximum pain.

These are real reasons that make people, especially the females to not want to leave a toxic relationship which is very wrong. When a lady has dependent fully on her partner, it becomes difficult to leave thinking they can't survive if they opt out and they don't mind being seriously injured in the process. What a pity!
I think sometimes one major reason people remain in toxic relationships is because they believe the person will change. They suffer over and over, praying for a change that will never come. Eventually, they end up being the changed person.
