Hello Hive Learners Community!!
I hope you are doing well and having great Christmas Day. The holidays are always related to activities, joy, celebration and positive feelings. But besides happiness, it has long been associated with additional spendings and expenses.
I live near Yahuna Abad Town in Lahore so I have two Christian friends who celebrate my reglious festivals i.e Eid Al l Fitar and Eid Al Adha with me. I want to cherish them on this festive season. I can't visit them yet to greet them "Happy Christmas" or "Merry Christmas". I used to have a small New Year's celebration in home. So, I invited my friends for Christmas cum New Year's Celebration Dinner at home on 31/12/2024.
With unstable income I have very tight budget for celebrations. That's why I have considered smart spending. Moreover, I don't want to ask for loans from others on New Year. If you want to have a perfect holiday and become financially secure in the beginning of the New Year, I suggest that you can follow these tips.
Without much a do let's discuss them in details 👇:
Plan Your Holiday Budget :
Budgeting helps in smart spending. In the amidst of celebration set a specific amount for holidays celebration. Stick to your budget no matter what you do. Start saving early for holidays.
My Mom plan for Eid Al Adha budget and save a specific amount every month to buy animal for sacrifice which is religious obligation.
Prioritize Thoughtful Over Expensive :
The best gifts come from the heart, not the wallet.
Many of us might expect to present branded and expensive gifts to their love ones on festives. They have reservations in five stars restaurant and venues for their get together.
But I have different and budget friendly style.
I arrange celebration at my home and serve my guest with home made delicious varieties of food. This Christmas cum New Year's celebration party is actually a fish party to my friends. I want more experiences not more things.
Final Thoughts :

For many people, enjoying the holiday does not equal going bankrupt. If you are prepared and committed to concentrate on creating great experiences, you can walk into the year 2025 with happiness and money.

The goal is always to begin and end January on a good note. That'll forever be the goal, year in and year out.
That is true, not starting the new year on debt is very important.
I like your style of budgeting and that's what I do also.
Smart spending is crucial to survival and to avoid borrowing and have a debt free new year.
That quotation you cited is absolutely well-said. Even just paying heed to that exhortation can save us from many financial issues.
It’s good to hear about the bond you share with your christian friends and I love the way you cherish them.
Keep spreading love
